💔It’s Over! Emmerdale AXE star after eight years onscreen – and cast are furious

EMMERDALE star Olivia Bromley has been axed as ITV bosses continue to make cuts to its soaps.

Gorgeous Olivia, 30, arrived in the village as Dawn Taylor back in 2018 but now, after eight years, bosses decided they have done all they can with her much-loved character.

She is set to film her final scenes later this year.

However, news of her axing has sent shockwaves through the cast as she is also one of the most popular actors on set.

A source said: “Olivia is adored by everyone at Emmerdale so the decision to axe her has not gone down well at all.

“She’s a popular member of the cast and if they can get rid of Olivia then the feeling is virtually no-one is safe.

“Olivia understood their decision and is preparing to film her exit in the coming months.“

Olivia has been at the centre of the soap’s biggest storylines since joining in 2018.

Her character Dawn clawed her way out of drug addiction and prostitution, escaping a brutal gang, killed corrupt cop DI Malone and embarked on a shock cover-up with vicar step-mum Harriet Finch.

It didn’t stop there as she had a shock relationship with step-brother Jamie Tate and is now in a relationship with scheming affair partner Joe Tate having moved into Home Farm with husband Billy Fletcher.

ITV announced last year that they would be cutting their soap coverage across both Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

This has led to an exodus of cast members across them both with more still expected as part of the brutal budget cuts.

ITV were approached for comment.

It comes just a year on from the last soap exodus which saw multiple stars axed from Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

The farm-based soap axed veterans Lesley Dunlop (Brenda Walker) and Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding) from the programme.

They also ditched other stars including Natalie Ann Jamieson (Amy Wyatt), Dean Andrews (Will Taylor), Susan Cookson (Wendy Posner) and Paula Lane (Ella Forster) from the show.
