The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Billy Flynn is slated to join the soap very soon, and as people continue to speculate who he will play on the CBS daytime drama, fans can’t help but feel as if it could be Aristotle Dumas. But will there be an additional plot twist with this?

Aristotle Dumas’ Secret Identity

The land of daytime was recently shocked when Days of Our Lives star, Billy Flynn, who plays Chad DiMera on the Peacock soap, announced he was exiting Salem and heading to the Y&R.

With all this Aristotle Dumas talk, it’s only natural for viewers to think that Flynn will play the pivotal new role in Genao City.

With that said, so much mystery surrounds Dumas. There are no photos of him online, and even his own staff, who work for him, have never seen or met him in person.

This has led many fans (and characters on canvas) to speculate that Dumas is a cover name for someone else. Even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) stated he thought Duma could be Tucker McCall (last played by Trevor St. John).

The Cane Ashby Factor

Still, what if Dumas is Cane Ashby? While the actor who originated the role, Daniel Goddard, is currently over on General Hospital playing the new role of Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton, this doesn’t mean The Young and the Restless couldn’t have Cane recast (in the form of Billy Flynn).

One key indication that Dumas could be Ashby is the fact that the character left storylines in 2019, six years ago! There have been multiple mentions of Dumas coming out of the woodwork … about six years ago!

In addition, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is smack in the middle of this storyline, digging to learn more about Dumas. She’s also set to get a secret admirer who will send her fun gifts and messages – many are speculating that this could come from Dumas.

Cane and Lily had an incredible love story back in the day, so it wouldn’t be hard to see that if he decides to return to GC, he wouldn’t also have his sights set on a romantic reunion with his ex-wife.
