Cat Greene’s Phone Has Been Blowing Up

Days of Our Lives spoilers remind fans that Cat got an odd call during Tuesday’s show. She was at the hospital when her phone began to ring, and looked around to make sure the coast was clear before answering it. Cat recognized the number but clearly wanted privacy before she started talking.

Cat was annoyed when she began the conversation with the unknown caller, stating, “Yes, I got your messages – all 10 of them. I assumed by my nonresponse that you would get the picture, but let me spell it out for you: I am not interested. Stop calling me.” She hung up on the caller and looked nervous after doing so. Who could this be?

Potential Candidates

It surely can’t be Clyde Weston (James Read), who had once blackmailed Cat into pretending to be Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller), right? Clyde is currently in a coma, and even if he has awakened, the entire reason Cat was doing his bidding was to protect her mom.

As Catherina Meleounis Greene (Susan Elena Matus) is fighting charges in Canada for shooting Clyde, it’s unlikely Weston has any hold on Cat to do anything at the moment. Plus, Cat would run to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) if Clyde were out of his coma!

Could this be Aaron Greene (Lois Tomeo)? Cat’s brother is with their mom right now, but may want updates on Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd).

There’s been a fan theory that Aaron could be the father of her baby, not Tate Black (Leo Howard) – so perhaps Cat holds the key to this secret being exposed and wants nothing to do with it.

Then again, could the person reaching out be Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien)? She’s set to return to Salem in July, and perhaps there’s a connection between Cat and Gwen. Maybe the soap is laying a foundation for Gwen’s comeback to the little town.

This would be interesting since Gwen had successfully broken up Chad and Abby back in the day, and Cat is now interested in Chad. If Cat and Gwen are or were friends at some point, this would place a wedge between her and Chad.
