The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 2 reveal that sneaky Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) lies to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) feels lucky, and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) tries to put out fires. It’s a busy day in Nice AND GC so let’s take a peek at all the intriguing action!
Cane is a Liar
Chelsea sees Cane at Crimson Lights and wants answers. She has no idea he was the one masquerading as Aristotle Dumas, but all of a sudden she gets sus. Of course, Cane going to such a public place is just dumb. Or did he want to be seen?
Chelsea tells Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) the news, and from there the Dumas puzzle may be solved by the only GC couple not in Nice.
In Nice It’s Not Nice
Meanwhile, in Nice, Devon Winters (Bryton James) interrogates Amanda about Cane’s agenda. Clearly he is playing fast and loose, but Amanda swears she has limited info on her boss’s intentions.
She also makes it a point to say that even if she did know, Devon is the last betraying boyfriend she would ever tell.
Once again Amanda has a chance to throw Devon’s betrayal in his face, and we’re here for it. Is Devon the most sanctimonious character in GC? Yes, by a country mile.
On Wednesday’s Y&R episode Amanda and Devon go at it as she tries to keep her insider knowledge to herself.
Devon is a Cheater
Despite Amanda’s carefulness, Phyllis learns a secret—that Cane is secretly in GC after telling the guests no one could leave the maze due to a storm taking out the railroad. Explosive show spoilers hint that Phyllis gains what she thinks is the upper hand based on her intel. What could go wrong?
Plenty, given that it’s Phyllis we’re talking about. Amanda is sore with her for trying to undermine her and her job, and she is not a person to be toyed with—as proof of this she is still sticking it to Devon every chance she gets.
