When the news arrived, Nancy took to her Instagram and shared a screenshot of the poster. It was in the caption that she revealed her reaction, and it might not be what you expected. The real-life Alexis Davis didn’t shout her acting prowess from the rooftops, although she could have.
In her caption she wrote:
Always grateful for a sweet nod however CHEERs to all my fellow actors nominated or not. This acting medium is not 4 sissies. Daytime Television actors & crew work without a net. 130 pages of dialogue, 60 or more scenes with only one quick rehearsal a day. We shoot sometimes up to 8 hr shows in 5 days. Proud to be a member of this community.
GH Fans react To The Post
Many fans seemed more excited than Nancy Lee Grahn, as many of them believe she’s such an authentic actress. They know she won an award for her role as Julia Wainwright on Santa Barbara. Plus, she earned an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series on GH in 2012. So, hopes are high that she will win another one.

Nancy Lee Grahn has played the role of Alexis Davis for nearly 29 years. In fact, she celebrated 25 years in 2021. Alexis is Mikkos Cassadine’s illegitimate child, born from his affair with a woman later murdered by Helena Cassadine. Her tragic backstory managed to fuel decades of drama.
Grahn masterfully developed the character into a resilient attorney and caring mother of three. Somehow, she balanced her professional success with personal battles, including substance abuse and many complex relationships.
