All the Ways that DAYS Was Super Messy on August 8
Couples were a hot mess of drama from the courtroom to The Bistro to Cat’s apartment.

The couples in the Friday, August 8 episode of Days of Our Lives, were a hot mess of drama, feverish dreams, and bad choices.
EJ and Belle
As suspected, EJ’s dirty tactics to get a mistrial fell on deaf ears. The judge wanted nothing to do with his underhanded stunt. EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) knew the move was risky, but he figured things would fall in his favor. He set it up that way. But how could it have worked when there were so many conflicts of interest at play here?
And now EJ no longer has to worry. There’s one less conflict of interest since Belle (Martha Madison) wisely kicked him to the curb. Their relationship is over. Let’s see if it stays that way. Understandably, she felt used and humiliated. Hope the sacrifice was worth it, EJ.
Cat and Chad
Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) apparently came down with strep throat, and then Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) started feeling ill. Chad (Billy Flynn) decided to stick around Cat and Felicity’s apartment and take care of Cat. After all, she had a high temperature, just like her sister.
Subsequently, she started talking in her sleep. And then she woke up and saw Chad there. Did she still think she was dreaming? Anyway, a sick and feverish Cat then started kissing Chad. Let’s hope that Chad doesn’t come down with anything after this.
Gabi and Xander
Meanwhile, things got a bit sloppy at The Bistro as Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) made sure Xander (Paul Telfer) imbibed a ton of wine. All the better for getting the truth about his relationship with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) out of him. And he did pour his heart and soul out about his relationship with Victor. And Gabi really started making inroads with him.
The two even started kissing, and that’s when Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) walked in and witnessed the exchange.

Brady and Sarah
It all started out nice and friendly with Brady and Sarah in Horton Town Square. Then they decided to have dinner at The Bistro. After walking in and immediately witnessing Gabi and Xander kissing, things got tense. But Sarah refused to leave because she said this was her reality now. She’d just have to deal with it.
Eventually, an inebriated Xander came over, acting jealous and telling Sarah she should be at home with Victoria. Things got infinitely more sloppy when Sarah told her legally separated ex that he’s not the only one who could make out with someone. She could, too, and then she planted one on Brady.
So these kisses involving Xander and Sarah — they weren’t genuine. Gabi tried to get the goods on Xander. And Sarah attempted to get back at Xander. The question is, will those kisses lead anywhere?
