GH’s Laura Wright Confronts Creepy AI Marriage Hoax

Laura Wright retweeted a post that was an elaborate fake, letting her followers know that the so-called news report was not real.

General Hospital's Laura Wright.General Hospital’s Laura Wright made her fans aware of a completely phony news story about her and Wes Ramsey.

Carly has been feuding with Nina on General Hospital for years. Now, she’s added Willow to that list because she put Drew ahead of her own kids. Thankfully, all of Laura Wright’s rivalries happen on screen, and she’s been enjoying her life with GH alum Wes Ramsey. However, she had a real-life incident that was very similar to a plot on another soap, and she outed it on social media.

A Shocking Revelation

On X, formerly Twitter, Wright wrote one word: “Fake!!!” This was in response to a tweet that she reposted in which a fan shared a screenshot from Facebook. In it, Wright and Ramsey are posing as a newlywed couple with her in a dress holding a bridal bouquet while he is looking dapper in a tux. The fan tagged Wright and captioned it, “@lldubs,  I think you forgot to tell us all your big news?! lol (JK I wanted to share what is on FB.) 🤣❤️.”

The FB post had a crazy headline that read, “Shocking Revelation! Laura Wright gets married, takes 3 months off from GH to rest.” The image was clearly a deepfake, reminiscent of a recent story on The Bold and the Beautiful. Thankfully, unlike that soap, Wright and Ramsey had their clothes on in the phony image. Definitely Creepy

One fan had an absolutely hilarious response: “That would be quite the honeymoon if you needed 3 months to rest afterwards… 😉.” Many fans were outraged by the post and glad that Wright brought it up, as one responded, “Thanks for speaking up, we’re tired of reading things like this. But I wish it were true about being married, not the time away from GH.”

Another fan, going by the creative name of Brady Quartermaine, chimed in with, “That’s got to be so creepy to see fake stories about yourself!” The person who created the post that wright retweeted commented, “I knew it was, and that is why I wanted to share this with you. I thought you should know what people are posting. Ugh 😡.”
