But the latter ironically isn’t able to get over the fact that her marriage failed, even after she is having a child with another man. Filing for divorce isn’t even something that Pineda is taking seriously while things are already getting out of her hands.
Matt Branis recently explained the seriousness of how Jasmine should be finalizing her divorce as soon as possible, or else she would lose everything. 90 Day Fiance viewers are well aware of how Gino Palazzolo wholeheartedly wants Jasmine Pineda to get deported to Panama. But it seems that the latter would have to pay a heavy price if she ever gets deported, Gino would be considered the “legal parent” of Matilda. He would get the “custody rights.” This clearly means that neither Matt Branis nor Jasmine Pineda would be able to make any decisions for their daughter.
Jasmine explained how these things were keeping her up all night because of how much she loved her daughter. She believes that her world was actually crashing! However, several viewers wondered why Jasmine didn’t put Matt’s name on her baby’s birth certificate. A critic even claimed that Pineda was simply creating a fuss to have a storyline.
90 Day Fiance: Why Is Matt Pushing Jasmine For Divorce?
90 Day Fiance viewers are well aware of the fact that Matt Branis has feelings for Jasmine Pineda. He had openly confessed his love for the latter while Pineda was taking things for granted. Amid all this, Branis told the cameras about how he has been pushing Jasmine to get a divorce from Gino Palazzolo and cut legal ties. Matt revealed that Jasmine wasn’t taking his divorce talks seriously and simply wasn’t prioritizing them at all.
This is when he decided to take the latter to a lawyer before things got out of her hands. This is when the lawyer revealed that, because of American laws, Gino could claim her daughter. Despite Matt being the biological father of Jasmine’s child, Gino was legally married to Jasmine. This made it clear that he could file for legal rights over Pineda’s child. Matt came up with the idea of divorcing Gino and marrying Jasmine before she gives birth.
However, this also wasn’t practically possible because of the timeline. Jasmine wasn’t able to believe her eyes and cried her heart out after realizing the price that she would have to pay merely for procrastinating her divorce process. On the other hand, Gino had already made it clear that he wouldn’t divorce Jasmine until he felt it was the right time.
