‘Baylen Out Loud’: Baylen Tries First Taste of Beer at British Pub & Her Response Is Totally Unexpected

It’s definitely not what her family thought she’d say.

Baylen Out Loud star Baylen Dupree tried her first taste of beer at a British pub—and her response was totally unexpected.

Ahead of the Tuesday, Dec. 30 episode, TLC shared an exclusive sneak peek with Parade of Baylen and her family trying new food and drinks during their U.K. trip.

“It’s my first taste of beer,” Baylen said at the beginning of the clip as she held the glass and took a sip.

“Is it bitter?” her mother, Julie Dupree, asked, to which Baylen replied, “No.”

“So do you like it?” Julie pressed.

That’s when Baylen admitted, “Yeah, it tastes like when I burp up popcorn a day after,” prompting her mom and dad, Allen Dupree, to laugh.

In a confessional with producers, her fiancé, Colin Dooley, pointed out, “I think you’re the only human on this planet that thinks that.”

Still, Baylen insisted, “No, I’m the only human with the right taste buds to know that’s exactly what it tastes like.”

Also in the exclusive clip, the pub waiter brought out U.K. cuisine like bangers and mash, fish and chips, and bubble and squeak.

After trying the bubble and squeak (potatoes, cabbage, and carrots, among other ingredients), Baylen promptly spit it into a napkin. She then settled for some of her dad’s fries—but not without her favorite American dipping sauce, ranch dressing.

“I’m still taken aback that she would bring it to another foreign land,” Allen told producers, of his daughter grabbing a travel bottle of ranch out of her purse. “I don’t get it.”

Julie then declared, “Look, she’s awesome and weird. And, like, I love it.”
