Emmerdale flashbacks tonight as Graham Foster’s survival is finally explained

Emmerdale fans finally get some answers over the miraculous return of Graham Foster tonight – as he explains everything to his ex-partner Rhona Goskirk. Fans have been sharing their theories since Graham reappeared in Corriedale two weeks ago, but now it’s time for the real story to emerge.

Tuesday’s episode continues to explore the ‘Who Killed Ray Walters?’ mystery, with further flashbacks to the day that the villain died. But in an unexpected twist, there are additional flashbacks within these scenes which resolve the Graham confusion too!

Much like yesterday, the episode opens by taking viewers back to 2 January, when Ray was still alive.

Rhona is seen waiting anxiously at home, still worried about the disappearance of her stepdaughter April Windsor. She’s flabbergasted when Graham sneaks into Smithy Cottage and creeps up on her, revealing that he’s still alive and wants to help.

“Graham tells Rhona that he knows about April’s troubles and believes he can fix the situation,” our Emmerdale source explains. “While this is good news for Rhona, she’s slightly more preoccupied with finding out how on earth he’s back from the dead after six years!

“Although Graham protests that there isn’t enough time to share the full story, he reluctantly reveals everything when Rhona puts her foot down.”

Flashbacks to 2020 show how Graham survived his supposed “murder” at the hands of Pierce Harris.

These tie up many of the loose ends, including how Billy Fletcher and Priya Sharma saw Graham’s body hours after he’d been “killed”, why Graham disappeared from Rhona’s life, and why devious DI Dent is caught up in the saga.

Once Rhona has heard what Graham has to say, will she be prepared to accept his help regarding April? Could Graham have killed Ray? And why has Graham been ignoring Rhona’s calls for over two weeks since this initial reunion?

Emmerdale‘s producer Laura Shaw previously teased: “A familiar face is returning to the village full-time! None other than Graham Foster will make a sensational comeback.

“His return will have massive repercussions for both Kim, with whom he shares a complex love and hate relationship, and Rhona, who was about to run away with him.

“Graham will explain exactly what happened six years ago when he was ‘killed’, but the question will be whether Joe can ever forgive his father-figure for allowing him to believe he was dead.”
