Survivor 50 said goodbye to Dee Valladares. Now she is speaking about her time in the game.
It was an 8-4-1 vote that sent Dee home over Tiffany Ervin and Coach.
During her exit interviews, Dee has now touched on an interesting topic.
As previously reported by Tea on TV, Charlie Davis said Dee and Rizo Velovic had a pre-season alliance.
It turns out that he got some of the facts wrong. A surprising admission by Dee sheds new light on the situation.
Dee reveals Survivor 50 call with Rizo
Dee revealed in an exit interview that she did indeed speak with Rizo before the season.
But the call actually made her distrust him.
“Rizo and I did get on a FaceTime call,” Dee admitted. “But here’s the even crazier part. In this FaceTime Call, Rizo lied to me and told me Savannah got fifth place and that he got fourth place.”
“So, going into Season 50, I did not like Rizo, and I did not trust him. I did not trust Savannah,” Dee added. “And if you go back to any of my pre-season interviews, I always said I want the 49 people away from me. And that’s because they lied to me in the real world, and they thought I wouldn’t find out.”
This is not how Charlie insinuated Dee and Rizo were working together. In fact, it sounds like Rizo turned Dee against him before the season even began. This makes Dee’s revelation of Rizo’s Immunity Idol more understandable. She already didn’t trust him.
Oops. Rizo burned a bridge before it was even finished. But as we have also seen, Rizo found other people to play with, despite Survivor 49 winner Savannah Louie (his friend) getting sent home early.
Dee elaborates more on that call with Rizo and what it led to in the video shared below. We will see Dee more this season, as she will return as a Survivor 50 jury member. For now, she is hanging out in Ponderosa on the show.
