When we last checked in, Dee Valladares had become the primary target for Jonathan Young and Coach Wade.

They created a web of lies to make Dee look bad, and then they voted her out quite dramatically.

It didn’t take too much persuading, as Dee was a day-one target after already winning Survivor 45.

Dee became the first Survivor 50 jury member. So we will see her many more times this season.

But in the game, something big is coming in the next episode.

Survivor 50, Episode 8 news and notes

A new Survivor 50 episode debuts on Wednesday, April 15.

Producers have called it Double the Fun, Double the Demise.

This sure sounds like two people are about to be eliminated.

“A boat arrives asking the tribe to divide themselves into pairs,” begins the episode synopsis. “This week’s Immunity Challenge features one of the biggest twists ever seen in Survivor history. Then, a theatrical risk taken at Tribal Council must be enough to cast doubt upon those on the chopping block.”

There’s a lot to unpack here. Beginning with an Immunity Challenge of duos.

First off, there are 13 people left. So the teams aren’t even. Is someone going to Exile Island before the challenge? Will that person be safe or be at risk?

“Another twist. Double the consequences,” Jeff teases them at the challenge in the promo below.

We also see Cirie Fields having a big cry, Coach channeling his dragon slayer mentality, and Joe Hunter calling people “snakes” in the footage.

Christian Hubicki appears to have a new plan. Maybe it’s a way to convince Jeff to use his first name when calling him out in challenges? Or to at least insinuate when he uses Christian’s last name? Many fans think he is saying “Vicki” during challenges.

Fans do not want to miss the April 15 episode. It looks like one that could have social media buzzing for a while.
