Plenty of fans have imagined how they would handle Survivor challenges, and Jeff may have been asking himself the very same question.
Is it really as straightforward as it looks on TV? That answer is about to get a lot more interesting.
Jeff Probst confirms he is competing on Survivor 50
In a pre-season interview with Jimmy Fallon, Jeff confirmed that he would indeed be competing.
“Yeah, I do [compete]. It was only fitting that I have talked so much smack for so many years that I finally compete. And I’m not going to say how it went. I’ll just say, I have a lot of respect for the players,” Jeff told Jimmy.

Survivor 50 teases Jeff Probst competing
Episode 9 of Survivor 50 airs on Wednesday, April 22, and that is when Jeff’s challenge appearance unfolds.
The promo for the episode opens with the aftermath of Chrissy Hofbeck and Coach Wade being voted out.
Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick is visibly frustrated, even though she also voted against Chrissy and Coach.
Only 10 players are left, and the episode will bring another twist before it ends.
“After losing two alliance members, castaways spend the next day picking up the pieces of their broken alliance. The castaways face off against a surprise challenger during this week’s individual immunity competition. Then, upon their return to camp, the journey participant must read aloud an important announcement regarding their recent adventure,” reads the full April 22 episode synopsis.
That surprise challenger appears to be longtime host Jeff Probst.
