Jeff Probst drops a Survivor 51 bombshell — fans are already asking the same question
Jeff Probst is already talking about Survivor 51, and that alone is enough to get fans speculating. The season is still a long way off, but whenever the longtime host starts hinting at what comes next, people pay attention.

As recently reported by Tea on TV, Jeff hosted a gender reveal party for some family friends. In true Survivor fashion, the reveal came with a themed twist.
Meanwhile, Jeff has also been busy building anticipation for Survivor 50. The milestone season is set to arrive this winter on CBS, and it will bring back 24 former players for another chance at the game.
Recently, the Survivor 50 tribes were revealed, giving fans a clearer look at what’s ahead. It also offered an early glimpse at possible rivalries before the season even begins.
And if that wasn’t enough, the castaways were asked to reveal their day one targets. The answers sparked even more debate about who could be the first player sent packing.
Jeff Probst touches on Survivor 51 and more
In a new interview, Jeff offered a few teases about Survivor 51 while also weighing in on several other topics surrounding the hit competition series.
“Where should 51 go? It’s probably not gonna be something dramatically different,” Jeff told Vanity Fair.
“Tiny steps,” he added.
How Season 50 performs with viewers may help shape the direction of the next season. There’s already been plenty of conversation about bringing back more of an Old School feel, even as cross-promotion remains a key part of the New Era.
The subject of retirement also came up. Rumors about Jeff Probst eventually leaving Survivor tend to surface often, especially after 50 seasons at the helm.
“My fear is that somebody goes, ‘Why don’t we get somebody new and fresh and different and get rid of Probst?’” he said.
“I’m flattered about that. If you like Survivor, then on some level you also like a part of me,” Jeff added when asked about people constantly wondering when he’ll step away. “I put my soul into this. My blood is all over that show. Every idea I ever have goes into the show.”
For now, it sounds like Jeff is in no hurry to leave. That will be welcome news for many viewers, even if some still argue the franchise could eventually benefit from fresh leadership.
