Emmerdale shock: Moira’s revenge plan for Joe Tate is exposed — and it could leave him with nothing
Moira Dingle has finally uncovered the truth in Emmerdale after Robert Sugden admitted exactly how he and Joe Tate set her up. And if viewers know anything about Moira, it’s that once she feels betrayed, she does not forgive easily.
She may have said she wouldn’t go to the police, but that doesn’t mean she’s planning to let this pass. In fact, she’s already making it clear that revenge is coming — and it won’t be subtle.
Robert comes clean to Moira in Emmerdale
On Monday (April 27), Moira carried on helping Robert at her old farm, keeping her distance from Dingle Farm as the tension between her and Cain became harder to ignore.
Robert was clearly weighed down by guilt, especially as Moira continued to treat him kindly. He even gave her a framed set of photos Holly had taken, but the gesture did little to ease what he was carrying.
It didn’t take long for Moira to realise something wasn’t right. After he made a careless remark, she pressed him for answers.
Unable to keep it in any longer, Robert admitted that he had planted the IDs at her house, which led directly to her being sent to prison.
He then revealed Joe Tate’s role in the whole plan, along with the video he had of Victoria killing John Sugden. The shock left Moira devastated, and she immediately demanded that Robert go to the police — or she would do it herself.
Aaron stepped in and managed to stop things from escalating before Moira could tell Cain. Although furious, Moira made it clear she wouldn’t report it herself because of her loyalty to Victoria, whom she considers family. But she was equally clear that Cain would hear everything.
Moira takes matters into her own hands
By Tuesday (April 28), Moira made a surprising choice not to tell Cain straight away, worrying that the stress could affect him ahead of his cancer surgery.
But her fury hasn’t gone anywhere. When Aaron pointed out that Joe was truly to blame, it pushed her even further.
Armed with a shotgun, Moira heads to Home Farm and confronts Joe directly. Even with Graham trying to intervene, she refuses to back down, keeping the gun trained on Joe as the tension reaches boiling point.
Just how far she’s prepared to go remains to be seen.

Joe may escape the immediate danger, but Moira is nowhere near finished. In fact, her next move could do even more damage.
When she spots Dawn out walking, Moira confronts her and makes a shocking accusation about Joe. Dawn, who has no idea what’s been going on, is left stunned.
Later, Dawn goes looking for Moira again, desperate for answers. This time, Moira tells her everything, revealing that Joe was responsible for sending her to prison.
Dawn has already warned Joe that he’s on his last chance after everything he’s done. She previously supported him over the situation with Victoria, but this latest bombshell could be the final straw.
With the truth now out in the open, Joe risks losing everything — exactly as Moira intended.
