Heartbreaking Emmerdale bombshell: Paddy, Bear and Dylan head to trial as Bear’s collapse threatens to change everything
In Emmerdale spoilers for next week, the long-awaited day finally arrives for Paddy, Bear and Dylan as they head to court. But with Bear already spiralling, the question is whether he helps their case — or sends it crashing down.
Elsewhere next week, Jacob walks straight into Dr Todd’s trap, but he is determined to push back. Has he now gone too far into dangerous territory?

1. The day of the trial arrives
Paddy, Bear and Dylan are getting ready for their day in court. Both visibly anxious, Paddy and Dylan share an emotional moment before the trial begins. Will the truth finally work in their favour?
2. Has April made things worse?
April is terrified about giving evidence, worried she may say the wrong thing. Marlon urges her to be brave and tell the court everything about the abuse Ray put her through.
But under cross-examination, April struggles badly and later breaks down, convinced she has ruined everything. Marlon comforts her and insists she was brave and honest. Still, has her testimony made things harder for Paddy and Dylan?
3. Bear spirals as Simo testifies in Emmerdale spoilers
Simo takes the stand, but what he says pushes Bear dangerously close to losing control.
With Bear in pieces, it comes as a shock when Zara says they have no choice but to let him testify on his own behalf. Paddy reluctantly agrees, although it’s obvious he is deeply worried.
4. Bear takes to the stand
The next day brings a glimmer of hope when Bear’s counsellor delivers powerful evidence, explaining how Bear was groomed by Ray and lived in fear for his life.
Then it’s Bear’s turn. With his family watching closely and trying to support him, he nervously steps up to give his own testimony.

5. Jacob falls into Todd’s trap in Emmerdale spoilers
Dr Todd is still making Jacob’s life miserable, and he feels increasingly uneasy as they keep crossing paths in the village. She mocks him before telling Sarah that Jacob doesn’t seem to be enjoying fatherhood and wants to return to work as soon as possible. Sarah confronts Jacob — and he lashes out.
He catches Todd in the Woolpack corridor and tells her to stay away and stop lying to his wife. Then he follows her into the ladies’ loo — exactly the reaction Todd seems to want, as Vanessa walks in and is stunned by his behaviour.
6. Jacob confesses all
When Vanessa later confronts Jacob in front of Sarah, he finally tells his wife everything. Clearly overwhelmed, he explains the bullying and harassment he has been dealing with. Sarah promises to stand by him and urges him to keep fighting, so he goes back to see Carol in HR.
But Jacob is completely blindsided when he learns Todd has filed a complaint against him. Worse still, Todd has also handed over a file of evidence, leaving Jacob fearing he has no chance at all.
Sarah once again tells him to stand up to Todd for Leyla’s sake. She then takes Vanessa to task for trusting Todd over Jacob. Vanessa later has a realisation, but will she end up siding with Todd — or with Jacob?
7. Moira’s stress mounts in Emmerdale spoilers
Moira is struggling to keep Robert’s betrayal from Cain ahead of the operation. Cain then opens up about his fear that surgery could change their relationship forever, but Moira reassures him they’ll deal with it together as a team. The only problem: can she keep the lies going?
8. Mandy loses everything
Paddy is frustrated because he has no idea what the future holds for his job, with everything depending on the trial result. He’s relieved they still have the salon to fall back on, but Mandy is forced to admit business has been struggling for a long time and she’s no longer sure Pampamanda can survive.
Before long, she is devastated as she has to close Pampamanda. Is there any way back from this blow?
