Survivor 50 finale stuns fans tonight: Live reunion details, and the winner everyone is watching
The Survivor 50 finale is here, and the live event is bringing back the kind of televised drama fans have not seen since 2019. Here’s your full guide to when it airs, what the finale is set to deliver, and which players have the clearest path to the $2 million prize.

The Survivor 50 finale is finally here. Tonight, Wednesday, May 20, viewers can tune in to CBS and Paramount+ for the live event — a format the show hasn’t used since 2019. The episode title, “Reverse the Curse,” already hints at trouble ahead and suggests Jeff Probst and the production team have more than a few surprises waiting.
Going into the finale, we’re breaking down when to watch in every U.S. time zone, taking a closer look at this week’s sneak peek, and weighing who looks most likely to leave with the Sole Survivor title and the $2 million check.
What time is Survivor on tonight?
The Survivor 50 finale airs Wednesday, May 20, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+, though the exact start time depends on where you live. This week’s episode runs for three hours: two hours of pre-taped action, followed by a one-hour live reunion special.
Here’s when the new episode of Survivor begins in your time zone:

Survivor 50 finale synopsis and what to expect
Last week marked the season’s fifth episode in which more than one player went home, and the finale is set to keep that momentum going. The Final Five will narrow by one more player for certain, and then the Final Four Tribal Council could go either way. Because fans controlled the fire-making challenge that decides who reaches the Final Three, we’ll have to see whether two finalists battle it out at fire or whether two votes happen before Final Tribal Council.
This week’s sneak peek already gives a glimpse of the fallout. Rizo Velovic appears thrilled — and for good reason, since he now defaults into the Final Four if he plays his idol — while Tiffany Ervin looks furious after being blindsided when her closest ally, Cirie Fields, was sent home.
CBS also shared the synopsis for the finale:
“Back from tribal, tensions rise following the exit of a particularly historic player. The final five immunity challenge ends in a showdown and features one of the closest finishes the show has ever seen. Jeff reveals the outcomes of the remaining in-game fan votes and how they impact the final stage of the competition. Then, one castaway will be crowned Sole Survivor and awarded the $2 million prize, during the three-hour live season finale, on SURVIVOR 50…”
With one of the tightest immunity finishes in the show’s history, it’s hard not to think Tiffany, Jonathan Young, or Joe Hunter could take the necklace at Final Five. If Tiffany wins, it could throw a major wrench into everyone’s plans, since no one seems eager to face her at the end — similar to the unanimous vote that targeted Rick Devens last week.

The final fan vote reveals of the season
Alongside the in-game vote reveals — including which challenge decides the last immunity necklace and whether the Final Four fire-making duel happens — fans have spent the week voting for their favorite player of the season. That winner will receive $100,000 courtesy of superfan Sia.
Who has the best chance of winning?
Right now, it feels like Tiffany and Aubry Bracco’s game to lose. Both women had slower starts in the edit, but they’ve become the most socially active and most move-heavy players among the remaining five.
Rizo Velovic is the next name to watch. He’s been a quiet assassin all season, much like the way he played Survivor 49. The catch? No one has seen that season yet, and only Cirie and Ozzy Lusth know how deeply he was involved in several major moves — including sending both of them to the jury.
Jonathan and Joe are the most likely to make the Final Three, although that could change depending on who wins immunity at five. Still, it’s becoming clear that the remaining players may see them as their best shot at winning if those two are sitting at the end.
Watch the Survivor 50 live finale on Wednesday, May 20, on CBS and Paramount+ — and stay tuned, because the final votes could change everything.
