General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was injured in the line of duty recently, but we couldn’t help noticing how anticlimactic it all felt. There was no real sense of danger or urgency since Dex was deemed fine pretty much right away.

The show’s gone to great lengths to convince everyone that Dex is going to make a full recovery.

Dex has been offering sweet reassurance to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and even suggested he could recover on a beach somewhere with her once he’s released.

This feels awfully similar to when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) pulled through her part of the transplant procedure like a champ and accepted Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) proposal.

In both cases, we had a character who seemed fine following surgery and was making plans for a happy future.

Of course, we know how things turned out for poor Sam and now have very good reasons to worry about Dex’s fate.

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is obviously the one who targeted Dex, so it makes sense that he’ll do it again.

It’s safe to say Cyrus wanted to do more than give Dex some time off for a beach recovery vacay when he attacked him!

Cyrus doesn’t want Dex voicing any suspicions about his time at GH on Halloween night and drawing too much attention.

That’d be a quick way for Cyrus to become suspect number one in Sam’s demise.

Since Dex survived Cyrus’ first attempt on his life, Cyrus could easily strike again at the hospital. Will Cyrus decide to make Dex his next digitalis overdose victim?

So far, Dex’s situation hasn’t been played up as a proper medical crisis.

It didn’t bring the usual soapiness of wondering if Dex was going to make it since they rushed to him being OK so fast.

Perhaps that’s because the real medical crisis is still to come!

Dex could easily face a heart attack of his own after Cyrus sneaks in and tries to finish what he started.

Is Josslyn’s boyfriend a goner? Will Dex face a grim fate after things take a shocking turn at GH?
