General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) grim fate means that he’ll never get the chance to make amends with his family members. Throughout Dex’s time on the show, there were multiple mentions of his complicated relationships with his relatives.

Dex definitely didn’t respect his dad, who was a rotten cheater and the kind of guy who’d play dirty to get what he wanted.

Since Dex’s brothers worshipped their dad in a way that he didn’t, he didn’t have a close bond with them either.

In fact, Dex mentioned that his siblings used to beat him up to the point that he’d have to be hospitalized.

It’s clear that Dex had a lot of traumatic childhood memories, especially ones related to Christmas and all the family fighting.

As for Dex’s mother, he didn’t like the way she put up with her awful husband’s actions.

Dex’s mom also didn’t stand up for him like she should’ve, so it’s easy to see why his relationship with her was fractured, too.

However, GH fans may recall that Dex actually contemplated calling his mother in recent months.

It doesn’t look like Dex went through with it – though it’s possible there’ll be a rewrite where he left his mom a voicemail or sent her a letter.

Now that Dex is deceased, will any of his family members show up at the funeral and burial? If someone is going to make an appearance, Dex’s mom might be the most likely.

There’s a chance Dex’s brothers or dad might feel guilty enough to come, but it feels like too little, too late!

If they couldn’t be bothered to fix things with Dex while he was alive, there’s perhaps no point in them making an effort now.

Josslyn would probably rip into Dex’s father and siblings if they dared to show their faces since she’s having such a rough time with this loss.

It’s easy to imagine Josslyn shouting that Dex wouldn’t want them there.

Dex’s mother, on the other hand, might get a slightly more sympathetic reaction.

This could be a chance for Dex’s mom to share her side of the story and hear about the kind of man Dex turned out to be from Josslyn.

Regardless, our predictions point to some tough moments on the path to Dex closure, so we’ll bring you updates on any surprise guests that might be part of the plan.
