We’ve all watched in horror as wildfires turned L.A. into a scene too upsetting to even be from a movie. Don Diamont has, too… but his seat was scarily a lot closer than most of ours.
“It’s been a harrowing week to say the least!” the Bold & Beautiful leading man said on Instagram. “We had to evacuate the Palisades Fire last Tuesday. It was touch and go, but our home and immediate neighborhood are still standing! We are so incredibly fortunate!
“The videos I took driving into our neighborhood to get as much out of our home as possible gives a sense of it,” he continued. “It was really just a matter of which way the winds were going to blow and the tireless, courageous, heroic work of the [Los Angeles Fire Department and AirOps] heroes battling the inferno that made the difference.”

How close a call was it for Diamont and his missus, Cindy Ambuhl? Suffice it to say, too close. “Just three minutes away from our home, less than that as the crow flies, heartbreaking apocalyptic devastation,” said Bill’s portrayer, who was previously Brad on sister soap Young & Restless. “So many of our friends, my Bold & Beautiful family, former Young & Restless friends and castmates, and my wife’s business associates lost their homes and entire neighborhoods. The same holds true for thousands more!
