Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Is The Streaming Soap Opera Coming To An End?
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the Tuesday, February 11 episode was explosive, to say the least. To start with, the plug on Body and Soul was finally pulled.
While the daytime drama wasn’t canceled, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) gathered the cast and crew to let them know they sold the show and production was moving to Los Angeles as the network purchased the soap.
After that shoe was dropped, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) found out that Salem University Hospital was on the cusp of bankruptcy.
Both storyline developments have had Days viewers a little worried since. Could the show be wrapping things up, for good?
Here’s What We Know
All good things must eventually come to an end, but it doesn’t look like DOOL is closing shop just yet. First off, the soap does film several months ahead, so there’s no worry well into 2025.
Plus, in November 2024, the daytime drama was renewed by Peacock, the streaming service that exclusively offers the show, for two years, which means the drama in Salem will keep plugging along until Season 61, through to 2026.
While the soap-within-a-soap arc is gone (thank goodness), DOOL is not going anywhere (at least for the next little while!)
What’s On The Horizon For Season 60?
Speaking of Days’ Season 60, fans need to brace themselves for some major drama. First off, as ex-Head Writer, Ron Carlivati’s content is soon ending (he was let go in July 2024), fans will see the content of the new co-Head Writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, as of April 24, 2025.
Secondly, DOOL fans can expect the soap to honor the late Drake Hogestyn (John Black). It looks like John’s passing will take place sometime in February.
Then of course, a ‘Who Shot EJ (Dan Feuerriegel)” storyline is on the horizon sometime this month and will bring Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) back to town.
As May rolls around Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) will return to Salem, and fans will get the Bope reunion they’ve been looking forward to for so long.
Fans can also expect massive character returns in the mix, as the show heads to its 60th Season celebration, this coming November.
