At the WSB training facility, Joss refuses to quit as she and Vaughn spar, and takes him down with a kick, but then collapses herself in pain. Vaughn quickly notes she’s injured, and when he looks at her ankle, he realizes this isn’t fresh. She admits the injury is two days old. He scolds her and says the next time she’s injured, to ask for help. He tells her that fighting battles on her own will only get her killed, so she needs to use good judgment and know when she needs help.
He wraps her ankle and tells her about his mentor, who never had to rely on any of this training during her own career. Joss realizes what she’s being taught here is the last resort, and Vaughn confirms it. Don’t attack or pull a weapon unless necessary, as violence leads to situations often getting out of control. She asks how he became an agent. He gives her the runaround but in the end, says he can’t tell her and smiles. Vaughn suggests they call it a day, and says he’ll see her tomorrow.

Lulu Seeks Assurance from Brennan
Lulu checks in with Brennan at his office to make sure Valentin is on his way to Stienmauer. Brennan says he saw him board the plane himself. She just wants to be sure he won’t show up and kidnap Charlotte, or that the men after him won’t come after Charlotte as leverage. Brennan says nobody has access to Valentin except the WSB, so Charlotte won’t be helpful to anyone trying to get to Valentin. She’s glad Valentin did the right thing in sending Charlotte to her but assumes he wasn’t planning on getting caught. Brennan notes Valentin’s fatal mistake was having a child he cared more about than anything. Lulu assumes that’s why he chose this job, and Jack won’t have to worry about that.
Carly and Jack Make a Commitment
Later, Carly shows up to see Jack. Jack assumes she’s here to end things but asks her to let him say something first. She suggests he let her talk. She says she came to warn him about Jason and that whatever happens to her, Jason will make sure happens to him. Brennan thanks her for the intel. Carly feels he’s not taking this seriously, and he should he scared of Jason. Brennan isn’t, and all he cares about is her.
Jack tells her that being an agent isn’t an easy life, and it’s lonely and isolating. That suited him fine until now, and he needs her. Carly says she’s not walking away, and she wants to know what this is between them. She also needs him, and she wants them to be together. They kiss. She knows this doesn’t change anything, and he still has a dangerous job, and she could still be in danger. However, what scares her the most is that Jason could try and kill him, or he could try and kill Jason. Jack says he’ll just have to make sure nothing happens to her.
Tracy Senses a Problem
At Deception, Brook Lynn vents to Maxie that Lulu is late again, and she keeps changing her laptop login password to annoy her. Brook Lynn asks about the Home & Heart call earlier. Maxie explains she was going to book a spot for them until she found out Lois went to Bensonhurst. Tracy asks Brook Lynn how long her mother will be gone. Brook Lynn thinks a few days, at least. Tracy thinks some notice would have been nice. Maxie says there will be more opportunities and has to leave for an appointment.
Once alone, Tracy assumes Brook Lynn and Lois had a fight, which is why she left. She asks what it was about. Brook Lynn calls it no big deal and says to drop it. Tracy sees Brook Lynn is really upset. Brook Lynn doesn’t want to talk about it, so Tracy leaves her and says she’ll see her at home.
Lulu shows up, and Brook Lynn exclaims, “Finally!” She tells her to please stop changing her password. Lulu replies, Done, I quit!” Brook Lynn asks why now. Lulu says a visit from her husband sealed the deal and accuses BLQ of sicking Chase on her. Brook Lynn had no idea Chase was going to talk to her, and asks what happened. Lulu says he warned her to stay away from his wife, keep her mouth shut, and threatened to arrest her. She says Chase used his position as a cop to keep her secret.
Brook Lynn says Lulu’s not innocent. She broke the law and inserted herself in a situation that doesn’t involve her. Lulu screams it does, as Dante has a son, Rocco has a brother, and she’s being forced to lie about it. Lulu brings up the past and Brook Lynn trying to break her and Dante up. With what she knows now, and given what happened then, it gives things a whole new meaning. Brook Lynn retorts, “You’re not mad I lied to Dante, but that Dante lied to you!”
Maxie Gives Lucas Love Advice
Maxie heads to the hospital for an appointment with James’ doctor and runs into Lucas. She asks about his Miami trip. He tells her there was a lot of drama with Brad, but the trip had one bright spot. He tells her about Marco and everything that happened, which is why he thinks he ruined things with him. Maxie disagrees as Marco made sure he got home okay and didn’t take advantage of him. She says he should call Marco to thank him and casually check-in. Lucas points out Marco lives in Miami, but Maxie says long-distance relations are a thing, and it can’t hurt to call him. Maxie realizes she’s late for her appointment, but when she gets back, he better have at least texted Marco.
Ned and Tracy Conspire
At the Quartermaine mansion, Gio and Emma find Ned and tell him they’ve found a way to save the Quartermaine crypt. Emma suggests they give a different part of the land to the preserve in exchange for the land the crypt is on. Gio suggests the shoreline, which will also help protect the Egrets there and will generate great publicity for the family. Ned calls it a solid plan, but he may have a different way to handle the issue.
Later, Tracy returns home and tells Ned that Lois and Brook Lynn had a bad fight, and she’s going to find out what it was about. She fills him in that Lois left for Bensonhurst and Brook Lynn doesn’t want to talk about it, so that is a red flag. Ned has sensed something off between them lately, so Tracy suggests he talk to his daughter about what Lois did to upset her. Ned states his daughter is an adult, so if she wants to talk, then she can come to him. He must respect her privacy. Besides, if it was really important, Lois would have told him. Ned is staying out of it and tells her to do the same.
Ned shifts the conversation to taking care of Drew, and suggests they threaten him with the fact they know he was sleeping with Nina. Tracy asks what if he calls their bluff? Ned says, “Then we blow up his relationship with Willow.“ Tracy admits that would be satisfying, but Drew is far too stubborn to be blackmailed, and that would waste the Nina secret. She thinks that information is best used against Nina at some point. Ned admits her money and influence could come in handy down the line.
Gio and Emma go down to the boathouse. Emma thought Ned would go for their idea, but Gio says at the end of the day Ned will always protect and put the family first. Emma realizes Ned might consider their idea if someone in the family backed it. Gio thinks it’s a good idea, and he knows just who to ask for help.

Kristina drops by her father’s place and tells him she just learned some valuable information that might solve all his problems with Ava. Kristina explains Ava’s been having money trouble, and things are much more dire than they thought. Ava begged her mom for a loan from the Cassadine estate, and her mom said no. She says Ava is overextended, so he can use this to get custody of Avery. Sonny says the Avery situation has been settled, but he’ll think about what she told him. There is a knock at the door, Sonny answers, and it’s Ava. Ava tells Sonny she is here because of Avery, and she needs more child support. Sonny knows Ava’s financial situation is in the toilet, so if she needs money, ask him and don’t hide behind their daughter. Ava admits she needs two million. She swears it would be a loan, and she’ll pay it all back. She is in jeopardy of losing everything. Sonny says he’ll do it on one condition. He wants to revisit their custody arrangement and suggests they reduce her custody to two weekends a month. Ava says, “Over my dead body!”
Ava refuses and says that she would be selling her daughter to him. She asks, “What kind of mother do you think I am?” Sonny responds, “The kind who would use her child as a cover to get money.” He thinks Avery would thrive under his care. She rebuffs and says that perhaps in a few years she can look forward to visiting her daughter in a burn clinic in Germany! Sonny yells back that she is not innocent, and she is the reason Morgan and Connie are dead, and he won’t forget or forgive that. He was trying to be civil, but the truth is if she was not Avery’s mother…
Suddenly, Sonny grabs his chest and collapses. Ava asks what is happening. Sonny goes for his pills but drops them. She spots them on the floor as he reaches for them. Ava says, “My my, look here. Do you need those?”
