However, there could be a silver lining with the Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) story. Fans already suspect that Martin impersonated Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins).

When Traci crossed paths with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), she never expected the conversation to change her entire life. Up until that moment, Traci was happily engaged to the retired psychologist. However, when Sharon opened up about details of the double kidnapping, Traci started to connect the dots.

Traci Abbott’s Heartbreak

Since then, Traci is convinced that the man she’s about to marry isn’t Alan at all. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) made this suggestion to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) mentioned the twins to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who is going to get their prints from Paris.

Fans are pretty upset that Traci is getting her heart broken. It was so sweet seeing her find romance after so many years, and with someone as nice as Alan.

Martin Laurent’s Mistake

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that everyone in Genoa City keeps bringing up Martin impersonating Alan. That is very true, that does seem to be what is going on. However, it seems people are assuming that mean Alan is the one who died back in Paris. What if that’s not what happened, though? Could there be a twist that still allows Traci to get her happily ever after despite the horrific twist in Alan’s story?

Alan Laurent Found?

What if Martin faked his death, like so many soap characters have done before? While Martin is impersonating his twin brother, what if Alan isn’t dead? Is it possible that Martin has been holding Alan hostage somewhere all this time? Was that the point of the “experiment” done on Sharon and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)? Is that the secret that he’s really hiding?

Even though Martin has put Traci through so much, she could have a silver lining in all of this. Maybe, just maybe, Alan is still alive, waiting to be rescued. Of course, if Alan has been a hostage all these months, then he’ll be traumatized and possibly changed after that experience. So, that could provide another story arc for Traci and Alan.
