In November 2024, Melissa Ordway announced that she had been taken off contract at The Young and the Restless. Now living in Tennessee with her husband Justin Gaston (ex-Chance) and their daughters Olivia and Sophie, she assured that Abby was still part of the CBS soap’s family and hoped to be back when needed. Well, good news, the actress was back in the studios.

Ordway posted five photos from behind the scenes and shared, “Abby’s back in Genoa City for a couple episodes with her Newman and Winters families.”

All glammed up as Abby, in the first pic, she smiled for the camera alongside castmates Eric Braeden (Victor) and Christian Jules Leblanc (Michael). One with Bryton James (Devon) and Christel Khalil (Lily) followed, as well as another with James alone, plus, there was a shot from Society and a glimpse from inside the Newman ranch.

Lauralee Bell (Christine) sent her some love in the comments, as Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) gave a big shoutout, “Yay!” and fans couldn’t be happier and relayed how much she’d been missed. And if you want to see more of Ordway — this time, outside of daytime — then keep an eye out for Season 2 of the crime series Blue Ridge, where she’ll be appearing in a guest role.

Last week, the actress posted pics from the set and shared, “Thankful to be a part of this super fun episode of Blue Ridge.”
