Another One Bites the Dust: General Hospital Claims an Unexpected Casualty of the Bombing at Charlie’s

Looks like it’s the end of the line for Lydia Look at General Hospital. In the June 2 episode of ABC’s daytime drama, Mafia boss Selina Wu was painted all the way into a corner.
Why Is Ms. Wu Leaving?
The reason for Selina’s hasty exit can be summed up in two words: Jenz Sidwell. The new Big Bad in Port Charles bombed Charlie’s to send a message to Mob rival Sonny Corinthos — and framed Selina for the crime, even going so far as to use her men to do the job.
No fool, Ms. Wu is well aware that Sonny will demand her head on a platter for nearly killing his daughter Kristina Davis (who hadn’t been supposed to be present when the crime was committed). So, Sidwell suggested, Selina should just… leave. Do not pass “go,” do not collect $200, leave. When Sonny is “dealt with” — in other words, dead — she can return to Port Charles with Sidwell’s blessing.
What Does Selina’s Exit Mean for the Show?
Look’s departure — and Selina’s exit — will leave in their wake a combustible shift in General Hospital’s power dynamic. Now the only two underworld crooks on the canvas are Sonny and Sidwell (and, if course, their minions).
The actress first appeared on the soap a decade ago. She recurred as Selina until 2017, then resumed playing the part in 2021.
