Rebecca Budig Admits That Playing Taylor Hayes Has Been Very Hard
Speaking to People magazine in a new interview, Rebecca admits that there are a lot of fans out there who aren’t happy with the fact that she has been chosen to play Taylor Hayes.
She put it this way, “I feel like there’s going to be a group of fans that are never going to be happy. They’re never going to love you.”
However, Rebecca did say that those same fans are “usually very kind and eventually come around.”
Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “I kinda feel bad for her. From the start of her joining, the writing for her character has been bad.”
“She has had no individual development (like getting to be an actual doctor and helping patients), every storyline has revolved around Ridge. I think she would have been better received by fans if the writers would have paired her with someone else before bringing her back to Ridge.”
Rebecca Says Some Fans Will Never Love Her
Another critic of the show wrote, “I liked Krista Allen in the role. It’s a shame they got rid of her. Budig is an attractive woman and a good actress, but this role is just not a good fit for her.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Here’s the truth: I absolutely HATE Rebecca Budig’s portrayal of Taylor. I fully understand that she is doing the absolute BEST with what she has to work with, but she has NOTHING TO WORK WITH.”
“It’s absolute GARBAGE. The storyline. The dialogue. The message. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this current arc. It’s pure trash. It’s not even entertaining trash. It’s insulting trash. It’s the equivalent of spit for me. Absolutely abhorrent, completely out of touch and pocket, lowest part of the trash barrel, garbage.”
