Cain in Emmerdale makes final decision on the farm and his future😱😱

Cain DingleĀ (Jeff Hordley) is close to losing everything in Emmerdale – his wife, his health, maybe even his life. Now in a cruel twist of fate, he might lose the farm too.

The tough-talking Dales legend is facingĀ the most heartbreaking and devastating struggle of his life – and in this village, that’s saying something.

Not only has he been diagnosed with prostate cancer, but his wifeĀ Moira BartonĀ (Natalie J Robb) is behind bars for murder and people trafficking

after being framed from beyond the graveĀ by the evil Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).

Desperate Cain is putting all his energies into freeing Moira and isn’t confiding in anyone about his illnessĀ other than his granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill).

Just in case things weren’t bad enough, without Moira to run Butler’s Farm, the place is falling apart – literally. A tree falls on a barn soon, putting a flock of sheep in serious jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Home Farm trust fund babyĀ Joe TateĀ (Ned Porteous) isĀ determined to get his hands on Butler’s Farm, which is why heĀ had Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) planted evidence on the farmĀ to frame Moira for Celia’s crimes. Every day is a battle, and it’s taking its toll on the deadliest Dingle.

Cain Dingle can’t handle everything

Most people would distract their grandfather from his worries with a nice walk or a crossword puzzle. But Sarah Sugden knows her grandad, and she knows exactly how to take his mind off prostate cancer and his wife’s lengthy prison sentence – by indulging in a spot of Grand Theft Auto.

In Sarah’s eyes, it is the perfect solution. The cars would raise the cash to keep the farm running, and Cain could channel his rage into the thrill of stealing high end motors. Upcoming scenes of Emmerdale will reveal what a truly terrible plan this is…

Even Graham has told Cain to think about his prioritiesĀ

The latest threat to the Farm will be a potential TB outbreak that may very well cost them the business. After stealing Joe Tate’s car, Cain’s made it crystal clear to Sarah that he’s not involving her in anymore thefts. Will she listen?

This is Soapland. Of course not! Sarah can’t help herself when she spies a sports car parked outsideĀ theĀ village hall.

She’s aboutĀ toĀ speed off when who should catch her but her own husband,Ā Jacob GallagherĀ (Joe-Warren Plant). Understandably, he’s none too pleased to catch his missus stealing his boss’s flash wheels, knowing it could easily spellĀ theĀ endĀ of his medical career. Sworn to secrecy by Cain about his cancer, Sarah is unable to give him the full story…

…Which sends a furious Jacob off to give Cain an earful about Sarah stealing cars. SoonĀ Charity DingleĀ (Emma Atkins) is lividĀ too, giving Cain both barrels over why he would choose to risk his granddaughter’s freedom like that. Unable to confide, Cain stalks offĀ toĀ avoid sharing his vulnerability.

Later, Cain’s doing what he does best – brooding – when he’s approached by the only other person in the village who knows about his cancer, hisĀ unlikely bestie Doctor Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).

Moira still doesn’t know about Cain’s diagnosisĀ Ā

Delicately suggesting that nicking cars with his granddaughter is perhaps a sign that keeping his cancer diagnosis a secret isn’t the best strategy, Liam counsels his friend not toĀ miss out onĀ theĀ supportĀ andĀ guidance of his family at a crucial time.Ā Cain’s left with food for thought.

Later, Sarah vents to Cain about how she is fed up with beingĀ theĀ only oneĀ inĀ theĀ family who knowsĀ andĀ calls him a coward for being unableĀ toĀ front upĀ toĀ his nearestĀ andĀ dearest.

With his cancer, Moira beingĀ incarceratedĀ andĀ Joe’s continuing pressureĀ toĀ getĀ theĀ farm, it’s clear that Butler’s is the foot of all their troubles. Even the criminal henchman of the TatesĀ Graham FosterĀ (Andrew Scarborough) is advising that selling up isĀ theĀ best course of action.

Will Cain give up the farm?
