Cast members of “Survivor 50” vote their first players out of the game

The cast of Survivor 50 could not wait to start playing when they arrived in Fiji to take part in the landmark season of the ultimate reality competition program. Their game faces were firmly affixed and they were chomping at the bit to get going, as our all-access deep dive cover story showed in great detail.

Since these returning all-stars (seen in all their glory right here) were so desperate to start playing well before the Feb. 2 premiere on CBS, Entertainment Weekly decided to accommodate them. And how did we do that exactly? By having them vote their first player out of the game. I know! Diabolical! And we even made them do it on official Survivor parchment!

In our defense, if they did their homework, they should have known it was coming. After all, it’s an EW tradition we do on every returning player season.

So if you want to know who was targeting whom entering the game, we’ve got you covered with all the insight and intel. Just watch the video at the top of the post to see the entire cast of Survivor 50 cast their (very unofficial) first vote.

Who says the following while voting out a certified legend of the game?: “I’m voting you off because at the airport you took the stairs instead of the escalator, and we all judged you for it.” (It should be noted that this is not the first time a Survivor player has judged another for taking the stairs instead of an escalator at the airport, as astute fans of Survivor 45 will recall courtesy of one Hannah Rose.)

And then there is Q Burdette. Q made a big splash talking about Dee Valladares’ feet in our cover story, and he’s not done. Not even close. (Prepare yourself.)

Also, get ready for some surprises. Which player casts a vote while explaining, “I think Joe is the best positioned player coming into season 50?” Who tried to vote out a player that is not even on the season? And who does Christian Hubicki have targeted as the person who has “everything in this game to win?”

If you want to know who was after whom before the game even began, this is your official starting point. Check out the video at the top of the article and revel in all the drama as the Survivor 50 cast begin eating their own… and perhaps even taking a shot at a certain intrepid EW reporter along the way.
