Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins shared an adorable baby update of her morning routine with her daughter Georgie, two months after announcing the birth.
Actress Isabel Hodgins is best known for playing Victoria Sugden in Emmerdale, a role which she starred in for 20 years after making her debut back in 2006.
The lead up to her eventual exit was an emotional one, as she killed her brother John Sugden in self-defence after his reign of terror loomed over the entire village.
With Joe Tate blackmailing Robert with video footage from the scene, Victoria needed a fresh start when she realised that Moira ended up framed for double murder so that Robert could protect Vic.
She eventually decided to leave the Dales behind with her and son Harry heading over to Portugal to stay with Diane Sugden. However, she won’t be gone forever as in real life, Isabel went on maternity leave.
Isabel announced the arrival of her first child with husband Adam Whitehead, and in a video showing Isabel in labour with their daughter she penned: “On the 11th of February at 1:02am… Georgie Grace Whitehead. 11.02.26. 8lbs5oz [heart emojis],” the message across the video read. The post then cut to the sound of Georgie crying and an image of Isabel holding her baby girl in her arms, with the post captioned: “And then we heard you.”
She recently celebrated her first Mothering Sunday with Georgie, and Adam took to his own Instagram to pay tribute to his “amazing” wife.
He gushed: “Your first Mother’s Day @isabelhodgins. As if I didn’t already think you were amazing… but watching you become Georgie’s mum has opened my eyes even more [heart emoji].
“The love, patience and strength you show every day is incredible. We’re so lucky you’re ours [heart emoji] #firstmothersda #motherhood #mumlife.” Isabel’s Emmerdale co-star Danny Miller was quick to respond with a string of heart emojis, while Laura Norton comment: “Amazing mummy doing an amazing job.”
Isabel has updated her fans on social media with regular posts since becoming a mother. On Wednesday (March 25), Isabel wrote: “Mornings with my little miss” as she posted an adorable video.
The clip saw her waking Georgie up with kisses as they prepared for their day. Isabel then snuggled with her daughter before sharing an adorable shot of her kicking her legs on Isabel’s bed in excitement.
Emmerdale co-stars rushed to the comments with love, as Danny Miller wrote: “Oh hello!!” and Laura Norton added: “Unreal” followed by a heart emoji.
One commenter, @larisscurrie2015 penned: “You suit being a mummy. Complete natural” to which Isabel responded: “thank you (sic) I’m trying xx”.
