Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that a who shot EJ mystery is about to spill out on the Peacock soap in it’s 60th season. A promo that was released earlier to hype up the milestone season, shows EJ getting shot by a mystery person. Even though the viewers don’t get to see who actually pulled the trigger on EJ, the look on his face clarifies that he knows his attacker.

While the promo shows EJ falling down in a pool of blood, it reveals nothing of his subsequent fate on Days of Our Lives. The soap has dramatically axed many mainstay actors and written off their characters. The most recent being, Stefan DiMera, portrayed by Brandon Barash. Thus, it came as no surprise when fans suddenly started wondering if EJ was getting killed off and actor Dan Feuerriegel was being fired.

Well, we have clarification on that from the horse’s mouth itself. As soon as the romors became loud and difficult to ignore, Dan took to his Instagram stories to tactfully shoot them down. The Dool star posted a selfie from his Day dressing room and wrote “Fired” on it, with two fire flame emojis. Thus, cheekily stating that he is very much part of the soap.

Since Dan is very much part of the soap going forward, we can rest assured that EJ DiMera is definitely not dying of the bullet wound. Meanwhile, there is also a very interesting twist that waits for EJ to advance in the story. We know that Stefan is gone for good, thanks to Brandon’s firing. In fact, in a recent episode, Gabi signed off on the divorce papers and officially ended her marriage with Stefan. She also blamed EJ for the heartbreak.
