Days of Our Lives Friday, December 27 Recap: Tate & Sophia Busted – Doug’s Offer for Holly – EJ Hides Arnold from Rafe
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, December 27, reveals that Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) hid around the corner at the townhouse while Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) dropped off some lemon bars for Tate Black’s (Leo Howard) trip.
Holly still thought Tate was headed off to see his grandparents in California, so she shared a sweet farewell with him as he continued to lie.
Sophia overheard Tate apologizing for not being able to use the concert tickets Holly got him, but Holly understood.
After Tate urged Holly to find someone else to go with, they expressed their love before Holly left.
Sophia grumbled to Tate after eavesdropping on everything, but Tate suggested they should focus on the task at hand.
Once Sophia and Tate got their stories straight, he assured her that they were going to fix this.
Sophia wound up eating some of the lemon bars and suggested she was eating for two – at least for now.
That left Tate wondering if Sophia was really OK with this abortion, but she pointed out that Tate didn’t want a baby and insisted this is what they had to do.
At Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) hotel room, Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) arrived looking for updates on whether he’d been able to sell the stolen necklace yet.
Leo had a buyer lined up, but he gave Doug one last chance to back out.
Doug still felt guilty about what he was doing to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and his new family, but he felt he had no choice.
Since Doug still needed to pay those baddies off, he assured Leo that he wanted to make the sale.
In the town square later, Leo handed over a check – though he warned it wasn’t as much as Doug had hoped.
Doug was disappointed since it didn’t cover the full amount he owed, so he knew he had to figure something else out.
At one point, Doug also ran into Holly, who had been unsuccessful in finding a friend to attend the concert with on short notice. Holly offered the Mystic Brew tickets to Doug instead, but he suggested they could go together.
After Holly mentioned her boyfriend, Doug clarified that he wasn’t expecting this to be a date and said she could run the idea by her boyfriend first.
Holly liked the sound of that, but she couldn’t get Tate on the phone and assumed his ringer was off.
That led Holly back to the townhouse, where Tate and Sophia opened the door to leave right as a shocked Holly appeared!
At the Hernandez home on Friday’s Days episode, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) suggested to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that they could get married on his birthday.
Rafe pointed out it was coming up at the end of January, but Jada said they talked about getting married soon and worked to sell him on the idea.
Once Jada left for work, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) showed up to urge Rafe to stay out of Jada’s way when it came to her investigations.
Paulina also had a job offer for Rafe and asked how he’d like to be her “rat czar.”
Although Paulina created a position for Rafe to control the rodent population in Salem, Rafe told her she could take her job offer and shove it!
At the Salem PD on Friday’s Days episode, Jada talked to Belle Black (Martha Madison) about all the cases she’d been winning.
Since EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) kept dropping the ball and making Jada look bad, she said she’d much rather be working with Belle.
Once Belle realized Jada wanted her to be the district attorney instead, she pointed out that Paulina would have to make that decision.
However, Jada made a prediction about being an excellent saleswoman – not that she’d even have to work that hard since Paulina already had issues with EJ.
Afterward on Friday’s DOOL show, Jada sat down with Paulina next and brought up the idea of replacing EJ as DA.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ was furious to find Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) lounging in the living room, where he was having breakfast in EJ’s bathrobe.
Although EJ still wanted Arnold to leave town, Arnold wasn’t worried about getting arrested on old charges since EJ was the DA.
EJ ranted about Arnold’s past transgressions since he never asked Arnold to rape Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), who couldn’t consent since she thought Arnold was Rafe.
EJ didn’t ask Arnold to kill Fay Walker (Valerie Wildman) either, so he warned that Arnold would be arrested and prosecuted if he got caught alive in Salem.
If that happened, Arnold said he’d just do what he did last time and offer to testify against EJ.
Arnold offered a reminder that EJ and Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) arranged for his plastic surgery and switched him out for Rafe after his car accident.
EJ kept trying to convince Arnold to take his money and leave, but Arnold insisted on staying put.
When someone rang the doorbell on Friday’s Days episode, EJ pushed Arnold to remain out of sight while he got rid of their visitor.
Once EJ answered the door, he looked nervous when he realized Rafe was there.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ’s problems are about to get worse, so stay tuned for all the bad news that’s brewing!
