Fans just watched as Body & Soul ended. Fans didn’t seem too thrilled about the storyline. So, now Kate and Abe’s venture is in Los Angeles, being run by the experts in Hollywood. Meanwhile, back in Salem, there are people out of work.

University Hospital Closure

With the hospital being out of money and about to close, the contract with Body & Soul was probably saving the facility. With that contact and money gone, the hospital faces a financial disaster.

Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) elevator shaft fall certainly doesn’t help matters. Neither will Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) blabbing her mouth if Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) decides to sue the hospital. So, the hospital is facing multiple issues. Finances are just one of them.

Kate Robert Brady’s Next Venture

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Abe was retired when he decided on the Body & Soul venture. With that gone, Abe might not want to go back to the boring days of watching TV while Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) has a busy career as mayor of Salem.

Meanwhile, there is Kate, who always has some kind of business venture or project going on. Kate was born for business, and she is most comfortable in a boardroom. While the entertainment business was outside of her comfort zone, could the hospital shut-down present an interesting opportunity?

Kate has always thought outside the box. Kate is pretty connected, too. So, Kate would have no problem securing funding for whatever project she tackles next, including a hospital!

Abe Carver, Salem’s Hero?

Everyone is worried about the hospital shutting down. Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) mentioned all the lost jobs. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) was worried about the patients who could die due to the long distance of the next nearest hospital.

Then, with how private patient information is relayed is a problem as well, especially in this high-tech world. So, it’s possible that Kate and Abe might have a new venture in mind. Could they not only save the hospital financially, but do a complete overhaul of how the staff operates, preventing future lawsuits?
