Days of our Lives Spoilers August 12: Chanel Has a Shock for Johnny

Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, August 12, feature Chanel so desperate that she’s willing to sacrifice her life for Johnny’s. This doesn’t really seem to solve the problem; it only shifts it around.

Chanel Wants to Take the Fall

Things aren’t looking good for Johnny (Carson Boatman). It’s starting to look more and more like he might be convicted of shooting EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). You’d think it would be relevant that, when Marlena (Deidre Hall) hypnotized the victim/defense attorney, EJ recalled that his shooter was a “she.”

EJ subpoenaed Marlena’s testimony, but is it reliable now? Couldn’t the doting dad have just made it up, then put on a show for Marlena so that she’d back him up? They don’t really have enough evidence to free him. Which is why Chanel (Raven Bowens) has a suggestion—how about she confesses? This isn’t much better, is it? Plus, can you imagine the Paulina (Jackée Harry) hysterics about her “baby” if that were to happen?

EJ Confides in Gwen

While Chanel lays out her brilliant idea, EJ confides his worries to Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Has he made his son’s situation worse?

Marlena also has a theory, which she shares with Belle (Martha Madison). It’s a very interesting case, isn’t it, where both the defense and the prosecution want the alleged shooter to be found innocent? Rachel (Alice Halsey) also wants Johnny to be found innocent. So she throws a fit about it. After all, she gets everything else she wants that way, why not this, too?

Xander Defends Himself

While Johnny defends himself in court, Xander (Paul Telfer) defends himself to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey). He is a good father, a good person, and a good businessman, and why won’t she believe that? It’s not like she didn’t know about his crimes before they got married—twice.
