Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 16, reveals that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) left Doug Williams (Peyton Meyer) a voicemail, which confirmed she got the money he needed from Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).

Tate Black (Leo Howard) showed up moments later with flowers and was apologetic about all the baby drama, but he didn’t want to lose Holly – and she didn’t want to lose him either.

Doug interrupted and met Tate, who noticed he looked a little banged up.

After Doug claimed it was an accident, Holly talked about almost going to the Mystic Brew concert with him before they hung out at the Horton house on New Year’s Eve instead.

Tate was polite enough and thanked Doug for being there for Holly, but he seemed a tad jealous underneath it all.

After Tate got a text about Sophia Choi’s (Madelyn Kientz) baby appointment getting moved up to today, he took off in a hurry.

Doug apologized for the interruption and realized Sophia wasn’t getting an abortion after all, so he knew that made things more complicated for Holly.

Although Doug feared this was a bad time and started to leave, Holly told him not to go yet.

At the Hernandez home, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) stood his ground and refused to let Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) talk him out of being friends with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

In Leo’s suite on Thursday’s Days episode, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) showed up with a reminder that they’d agreed to have lunch together.

Leo complained about Javi being Lady Whistleblower after all and explained the Rochester sweatshirt situation.

Marlena thought Leo was jumping to conclusions again and stopped him from confronting Javi since he only had circumstantial evidence at this point.

In the town square on Thursday’s DOOL show, Leo and Marlena ran into Javi and Kerry.

After Leo complimented Javi’s sweatshirt and asked where he got it, he confirmed that Kerry gave it to him.

Kerry piped up about being from Rochester – where Lady Whistleblower’s payments have been going – so Leo realized Kerry was the culprit based on his expression.

At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) broke in the drawer that had her phone locked inside.

Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) caught Rachel trying to compose another threatening text to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and warned this had to stop.

Once Kristen brought up the idea of therapy, Rachel said she’d go if she could see “Granny Mar Mar,” but Kristen insisted she needed someone besides Marlena.

Rachel finally agreed to see a different shrink, so Kristen was pleased.

At the townhouse on Thursday’s Days episode, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) gave Ava updates on Rachel being the one behind the threatening texts.

Ava thought they shouldn’t see each other anymore, but Brady didn’t want to see a message that Rachel could act out and get her way.

Plus, Brady knew this was about Rachel wanting her parents to get back together, which wasn’t happening.

Brady couldn’t be expected to just stay single because it upset Rachel for him to date.

Since Brady wanted to keep seeing Ava, she eventually saw things his way.

Just before Ava and Brady could share a kiss, Kristen called with good news about Rachel being on board with therapy.

In the DiMera foyer, Rachel packed a sandwich, juice box and stuffed snake into a backpack before sneaking out the front door.
