Whitney was previously known for serving as the producer of the radio show, Jared & Katie in the Morning. In 2014, she became the subject of a viral video featuring her dancing. She recently moved from North Carolina back to her home of Salem, Massachusetts.

After her story was featured in various outlets, Whitney became the star of the TLC series, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, in 2015. The show, which has detailed her journeys concerning her health, family, and love, recently wrapped up its 13th season in early September.

Through the series, fans were introduced to various members of Whitney’s family. During a Season 11 episode, viewers got to meet Whitney’s half-sister Angela “Angie” Burdett. Angie is Whitney’s father Glenn’s firstborn daughter. She had been put up for adoption as a baby, with the episode marking one of the first times Glenn’s family got to meet her.

Recently, on social media, Angie shared some tragic news in her family. Her adoptive mother, Rosalie, had passed away.

In a caption, Angie asked for prayers as she honored her mother’s memory. As she wrote, “If everyone could keep my family in your prayers. My sweet Mamma passed on 9/26/25!”

The video showed off events including Halloween, weddings, and the family simply going out to enjoy a meal.
