Emmerdale youngster Dylan Penders has devised an unexpected exit strategy that could potentially land him in deeper hot water with the law.
As regular viewers of the ITV drama will be aware, Dylan (played by Fred Kettle) and Paddy Dingle (portrayed by Dominic Brunt) are facing charges of perverting the course of justice after they assisted in concealing Bear Wolf’s (Joshua Richards) killing of rogue Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
On Thursday (19 March), Dylan and Paddy returned home following an early bail hearing, from which they were released. However, further complications were on the horizon.
The duo was welcomed by a jubilant April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) before Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) expressed worry over the absence of Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Arthur (Alfie Clarke).
Upon checking Arthur’s whereabouts on her mobile, Laurel discovered he was at the police station, intending to admit to witnessing Ray just moments prior to his demise, reports the Daily Star.

Outside the police station, Aaron (Danny Miller) and Mandy anxiously awaited Arthur’s return when Paddy and Laurel arrived and thwarted their scheme.
Laurel was incensed that Mandy and Aaron had permitted her son Arthur to deceive the police, but the teenager soon emerged, confessing he couldn’t follow through with it.
Back at their residence, Paddy and Mandy faced off over how to manage their legal predicament, whilst his father, Bear, remained incarcerated.
Dylan returned home to find the pair in dispute, and when his efforts to quell the argument proved unsuccessful, he departed.
As dusk fell, Dylan rang April to inform her he was departing the village without her. He then admitted he’d sent a letter to the police confessing he was Ray’s killer.

Emmerdale enthusiasts took to social media to speculate whether Dylan Penders had made his final exit from the ITV soap.
One viewer confessed on X: “Very sad about Dylan leaving #emmerdale”, whilst another queried: “What is that for Dylan (shocked face) #Emmerdale.”
A third added their thoughts: “Dylan lost in fog forever… #Emmerdale”, and yet another remarked: “Dylan walks the bridge of doom #Emmerdale.”
However, there remains a glimmer of hope that Dylan might make a comeback to the village soon.

On Thursday (March 19), Fred Kettle, who portrays Dylan, posted a brief video of the Emmerdale set bathed in sunlight on his Instagram Story.
Fred captioned the post: “Beauty of a day at @emmerdale village”, followed by the comment, “Spring n that x.”
Will Dylan make a return to the Dales? Audiences will have to stay tuned to find out what unfolds next.
