Survivor: Former ‘Survivor’ Star Gives Thoughts on Which Castaways Should Join ‘The Traitors’

Fans of reality television will no doubt see a lot of familiar faces on the latest season of “The Traitors.” After all, several of those taking part are former players of shows such as “Survivor” and “Big Brother.” That’s not surprising given how strategic those types of contestants can be and how they excel at both challenges and social gameplay.

Fan favorite “Survivor” castaway Rob Cesternino is one player who has appeared on both shows and he has now given his two cents on who he thinks should make the jump from “Survivor” to “The Traitors” in the future.

Rob Cesternino Gives His Thoughts on the Best ‘Survivor’ Players for ‘The Traitors’

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly following his departure from the fourth season of “The Traitors,” Cesternino was asked about which “Survivor” alumni would be a good choice to join future seasons of “The Traitors.”

Cesternino was eager to give his thoughts on the topic and provided several names that he thinks would work on both series, although he ultimately opted for Tyson Apostol. “There are so many different great Survivors to bring back,” he said. “I think that Tyson is somebody who I’m really surprised that he hasn’t played yet on, on ‘The Traitors.’”

He continued, “I think that Kelley Wentworth is another great person that they could look to, but there’s also Jerri Manthey. Could you imagine Jonathan Penner in The Traitors castle? Obviously, Coach would be another great one. So there’s so many different great Survivors I think that would be amazing on ‘The Traitors.’”

Rob Cesternino Explains Differences Between ‘The Traitors’ and ‘Survivor’

As someone who has competed on both reality shows throughout his career, Cesternino  is in a unique position that allows him to pinpoint the differences in how each show plays and is made. That could provide essential advice for any “Survivor” players who get the chance to appear on “The Traitors.

For Cesternino, the biggest difference is how “Survivor” doesn’t give players the opportunity to really take a break and think by themselves, as there is a constant need to be switched on at all times on the island. After all, you are battling hunger and have to stay fit and sharp so you can compete in the challenges.

“‘Survivor’ is just so immersive that 24-hours a day, you are in ‘Survivor,’ but I think it’s very hard to turn your mind off even in the moments that you are to yourself on ‘The Traitors,’” he revealed. ” And from what it looks like on television, it looks like ‘The Traitors’ could be an even bigger mind [expletive]. But for as long as I was there, I just had the best time, and there was really no downside where I was really questioning the decision.”
