No matter how you slice it, Kristina is in serious trouble on General Hospital right now. She may have accidentally cut Ric’s breaks instead of Ava’s, but at the very least, she’s just committed premeditated attempted murder. And if Ric doesn’t pull through, she’s going to be guilty of murder — albeit of the wrong person.
The good news, at least, is that Liz came out of the car accident just fine. And that’s really important because as of yesterday’s General Hospital episode, Lucky knows that Kristina is responsible for the crash. He covered for Kristina — but that was before he even realized Elizabeth was in the crash.
If he’d lost Liz, there’s no chance of him keeping his mouth shut about what Kristina had done. Now, though…
Look, we’re not saying Lucky would want Ric dead at all — but if he does end up perishing, Lucky won’t be shedding nearly as many tears as Molly will be. The two men have been far from fond of each other, especially as they’ve both been drawn back to Liz.
If Ric dies, Lucky’s going to be in a tough spot, stuck with the knowledge that Kristina killed him. But Molly’s dad pulls through, we could see him keeping the truth of what happened to himself.
But that doesn’t mean Kristina’s safe. There’s going to be an investigation. Finding cut brake lines is not difficult. After that, it’s only a matter of finding out who cut them and why. Kristina’s got a bit of plausible deniability as there’s no reason she’d want to kill Liz or Ric, but if the cops start looking into where the car was before crashing, that could be a problem.
Because then they’re going to figure out he was parked in Ava’s spot. And from then, it’s not too tough to figure out who hates Ava that much. For a time, Sonny might be able to deflect the attention onto himself. But we’re guessing Kristina’s murder attempt is far more amateur than what her father would have done and Anna would figure that out.
And at that point, she’s toast. Even if Lucky keeps her secret, there’s no way Kristina’s getting away with this. The only thing that’s in doubt right now is whether she’ll be charged with attempted murder or murder in the second degree. (Since, you know, she was actually planning to kill Ava, not Ric.)
There’s still Alexis, of course. She’s a great lawyer, and she’d want to protect her daughter. But doing so might might cost her Molly. And getting Kristina off for what she’d done might be an impossible task — especially if Molly ends up on the other side of the law, furious at what Kristina did to her dad and out to lock her up and throw away the key.
