“CarSon” fans will be elated to hear that General Hospital will soon have the exes back in one another’s orbits. Though the indestructible mobster is currently involved with (ugh) Natalia, and Carly seems to be sticking with Jack even if it kills her, the bond between the former Corinthoses is as strong as ever.
“There is stuff coming up in a few weeks, stuff going on with Sonny, where Carly steps up — without a doubt, without a question — into a spot of support,” Laura Wright tells Soap Opera Digest. “They are family, whatever has happened in their romantic life, and no matter what, she’s got his back and vice versa.”
No wonder many a viewer continues to think of the couple as endgame. Regardless of how often they break up, they always seem to gravitate back toward one another. And they have more kids together than they do with any other partners. Donna and the late Morgan are their biological offspring, and Sonny raised Michael with Carly after stealing him from his birth father, A.J.

In fact, Wright has previously suggested that the only reason that Carly never resumed her relationship with Jason when he rose from the grave again was because he could never be sure that he could hold onto her if Sonny was in the picture. (More on that here.)
Such is the nature of addictions, right? Even when they’re bad for us, they’re hella hard to kick. By extension, they are super easy to fall back into. So if Carly supports Sonny as he contemplates whether or not to have the heart surgery that would extend his life, it is not outside the realm of possibility that they could relight that old flame and “I redo” it one more time.
