The cat is outta the bag on General Hospital, and it sure as shootin’ isn’t going back in. Now that young Gio knows that Dante and Brook Lynn are his biological parents — and, equally shocking, so do they — it’s going to be wall-to-wall drama on ABC’s soap in the week ahead.
When the next new episode airs on Tuesday, May 27, Lois takes the hot seat as she attempts to explain why she secretly had Dante and Brook Lynn’s love child adopted by her cousin. Suffice it to say, tensions will be running high. In fact, the mother/daughter confrontation includes “what may be the the best scenes I’ve ever seen,” Dominic Zamprogna tells Soap Opera Digest.

The emotional face-off promises to alter Dante’s attitude about the whole matter. While initially he wonders whether Brook Lynn was aware of her and Dante’s family ties to Gio and chose to keep her babydaddy in the dark, bearing witness to her upset shifts his POV. Despite his empathy, there remains a part of him that “is like, ‘Well, am I the only one that didn’t know?’”
On Wednesday, May 28, Dante and Brook Lynn attempt the seemingly impossible: They try to reach out to Gio. But as angry and hurt as he is — multiplied by the number of times Dante raked him over the coals for Rocco’s alcohol poisoning — will Gio be willing to listen to anything the long-ago lovers have to say? TBD.
