Will Joss kill Cyrus? GH

General Hospital went up in flames this week, as Michael was caught in a bomb meant for Sonny, but that wasn’t the only threat to his life. We also got the baby reveal we’ve known was coming, some pretty epic confrontations between Carly and Nina’s family members, and potentially the end of Cyrus.

Drew Set Fire to Michael’s Marriage

Curtis had some great lines this week, including telling Drew that the word family means nothing coming out of his mouth, and he might not have set fire to Michael, but he did his marriage. The scenes of Drew and Willow having sex, with Wiley in the next room, intermixed with Michael on fire was disgusting. However, it feels that was the point. We needed to feel repulsed so that there was no room for sympathy left for these two —as if many viewers had sympathy for them beforehand.

Willow and Drew make love GH

As preachy as I find Joss and Carly, I loved them giving Drew and Willow hell. Joss calling Willow a serial cheating wife was spot on, though really, no one in this situation has any right to be casting stones. They are all hypocrites. I loved that Michael and Joss both pointed out that Willow jumps from one savior to the next. I guess that’s what happens when you grow up in a cult, you always are looking for a hero.

Joss and Willow argue GH

As much as I don’t like the new Drew, Carly was a little over the top, saying everything Drew has done was to play the part of the hero martyr and that he didn’t care about anyone but himself. I disagree with that, at least with the old Drew. He helped Carly because he loved her and helped Willow because she was family. However, as Curtis pointed out to Nina, this new Drew is a changed man. So, Carly’s words do apply to his actions moving forward.

Carly lashes out at Drew GH

Drew blaming Carly for Michael’s burns was a low blow, but at the same time, he wasn’t wrong. Carly and Sonny both know that Sonny’s life has put their family in danger more than once. Related to that, earlier in the week, Jason mentioned to Sonny that he can’t let this happen to Danny, and they needed to figure out that exit strategy Sonny mentioned. It really feels like the show may be putting the mob behind them, at least, for a little while. Sonny needs to think about Donna and Avery’s futures, too.

The Custody Battle to Come

As awful as what Willow and Drew did was, Carly having Diane take custody of the children from her is just as bad. Can I just say I loved Jason saying, more than once to Carly, that this was Michael and Willow’s problem to deal with? Not that she listened…

Sonny knew Michael’s true intentions when he filed for sole custody. It was to force Willow into shared custody, so hopefully, Sonny speaks up. Who am I kidding? Carly will convince him not to, and taking the kids is for the best!

Carly and Sonny talk GH

Willow using Michael’s medical proxy to fight fire with fire was a nice confrontation to end the week, and I bet Carly never expected that from Willow! I want to see Willow waking up to how Carly and her family operate. There is a set of rules for everyone else that don’t apply to them! Also, Willow has let them control her life and actions for way too long. Now would be an excellent time for Nelle’s ghost to haunt Willow and push her into not playing nice anymore.

Sasha and Michael agreed to keep the truth about their child a secret, but Michael’s burns could change everything. She may still choose not to reveal the truth, as Sasha wants to shield her child from both of Michael’s crazy families, but it would also throw a kink into the custody battle as Michael also cheated. It’s going to get messy!

Jenz Sidwell Moves In

I did not have Jenz Sidwell buying Spoon Island and Wyndemere on my list of what to expect, or even want, for 2025! And Lucy throwing herself at him was pathetic and nauseating. However, when Lucy mentioned the Spencer name to him, he seemed very interested. Between that and choosing to move into Wyndemere, could Jenz somehow be connected to the Cassadine family?

Brook Lynn’s the Mom, But Who Is the Dad?

I don’t think a single viewer was shocked when, out of nowhere, Brook Lynn and Lois discussed the baby she had back at summer camp as a teenager. You know, the girls’ camp that was next to the boys’ camp where Dante and Cody went? Brook Lynn put the baby up for adoption, and all signs are pointing to that baby being Gio.

BLQ cries GH

It seems clear Lois knows who Gio really is, as she’s had a few moments of antsiness when people question his past and upbringing. But did Sonny also know? After all, he has paid for Gio’s schooling for years, and Gio thinks of him as his Uncle Sonny. If Gio isn’t Dante’s kid, he could be Cody’s. However, making Dante Gio’s father creates another roadblock between him and Lulu reconciling and could help push Lulu into Cody’s arms.

Looking Into My Crystal Ball

The final moments of Friday’s episode heavily hinted at what could be coming. Cyrus, somehow, was not only able to sneak into the hospital unseen but also able to get his hands on more digitalis. What happened to those security cameras Portia mentioned a while back? Someone should get Spinelli hacking them.

Cyrus injects Michael GH

In the final moments of the episode, Cyrus injected Michael’s IV. As I noted in last week’s column, it appears Cyrus sees himself as doing God’s work as an Angel of Death.

More: Will Michael be recast?

Monday’s preview has Lucas and Isaiah racing to deal with Michael’s latest crisis, which has me thinking between the burns and the digitalis, Michael will likely be put into a medical coma and shipped off to a specialty burn hospital.

Thanks to Brennan’s help, Joss questioned Felicia about the events surrounding Dex’s stabbing, and the former PI finally recalled Cyrus’ bell stopped ringing at that very moment. Oh, and Joss just happens to have Dex’s gun, which she found packing up his apartment. It sure looks like Joss is going to take Cyrus out, or at least try to. As Trina said to her, when she’s angry, she acts out and is afraid Joss would do something she might regret.
