General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) realizes that immediate action is needed to save Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) from a possible life sentence for attempted multiple murders.

We will examine the option of Alexis and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) deciding to admit Kristina to a psychiatric facility as a preventive step to protect their daughter from serious legal consequences.

Blissful Ignorance  And Lucky’s Complicity

At this moment, Kristina believes she has successfully evaded consequences, convinced that only she and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) are aware of her act of cutting Ric’s brake lines.

Initially, Lucky confronted Kristina, expressing his outrage and insisting that her actions were excessive. He argued that she should face repercussions for nearly taking Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) life.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Lucky changed his mind, reasoning that sending Kristina to prison wouldn’t benefit anyone. Ultimately, he decided to protect her instead.

Ava’s Blackmail And Proof Of Kristina’s Culpability

However, it won’t be that simple; Ava Jerome (Maura West) is already aware that Kristina was responsible for the near-fatal accident involving Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Liz.

She has also informed Ric about this-currently, Kristina believes she can conceal her role in Ric’s accident. It’s important to note that Ava visited the impound lot, made inquiries, and discovered that the brake lines of the vehicle had been cut.

Later, when Lucky went to retrieve Liz’s wallet from the car, he learned that the vehicle had been destroyed. Initially, Lucky may have gone there to see if there was any evidence linking Kristina to the incident.

Lucky Was Told The Car Was Destroyed-It Wasn’t

Lucky might have been trying to do something for Liz, or he might not have been-he returned and told Kristina the car had been crushed.

The episode from April 9 revealed that Ava hid the car  for safekeeping and as a bargaining chip to prevent anyone else from destroying it.

Ava is aware that Kristina tampered with the brake lines since no one else wants either her or Ric harmed, and she even has security footage on her phone.

Ava also pointed out that Ric was parked in her designated spot and noted how similar their cars looked. Additionally, he noticed Kristina at the crash site when she had no reason to be there.

Ric Wanted To Do The Right Thing (Gasp!) But Ava Saw Dollar Signs

Ric wanted to report it to the police; he would relish the chance to see Sonny’s and Alexis’ daughter behind bars, but Ava has other plans-she’s seeing dollar signs.

And of course, she’s so deep in debt, as we all know; Ava thinks the slashed brake lines equal a payday, and she goes to Alexis to blackmail her first.

So, Sonny may also  get a visit from Ava where she lays it all out and says, “Pay off my debt, or your daughter’s going down.”

Already, Sonny offered to pay Ava’s IRS debts, but only if he took back custody of their daughter Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

And Alexis basically laughed in Ava’s face about a loan and previously told Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) she’s thrilled that Ava lost the divorce settlement and is broke.

Kristina Is Unhinged

But rather than Alexis, I think it’s going to be Ava who gets the last laugh because Kristina has come unhinged. Love or hate her, this has turned out to be a great situation for Ava.

This week, Alexis reaches out to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and might share that Kristina attempted to harm Ava, which also put Ric and Elizabeth in danger.

Diane will express her concern to a distressed Alexis, urging her to consider taking serious steps. There’s a possibility that Kristina left fingerprints on Ric’s car after tampering with the brake lines.

Kristina’s Alibi Is Weak, And Ava’s Got The Proof

Ric  witnessed Kristina at the accident scene, her alibi is weak-additionally, her bartender’s failure to confirm her whereabouts adds to the instability of her story.

When Ava seeks her big payout,  she shows the footage where Kristina is recorded tampering with the brake lines. Even if Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) tries to erase the footage, it’s already too late; Ava has it in her possession.

The silver lining for Kristina, Sonny, and Alexis is that Ava values money more than seeing Kristina imprisoned. Ava is facing serious financial troubles, and since everyone survived the incident, she might be willing to overlook it for big bucks!

Judicial Commitment For Kristina?

Diane might suggest that Alexis consider admitting Kristina to a psychiatric facility  for a couple of reasons. Firstly, if Ava decides to take legal action, this could help establish a temporary insanity defense in court, but more importantly, Kristina is in need of serious mental health support.

She has been obsessively focused on Ava for far too long;  Kristina has convinced herself and others that Ava pushed her out of the window at the Metro Court.

We’ve seen her memories, and deep down, she knows that isn’t true, yet she keeps telling herself this to justify her feelings.

She uses Ava as a scapegoat to avoid confronting her own guilt for the tragic incident that led to the death of the baby she was carrying for Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).

Truth And Consequences

Kristina is dealing with a lot of confusion, anger, and anxiety in her mind, and it all needs to be confronted. I’m sure Sonny and Alexis will be shocked to learn that Kristina actually attempted to kill Ava-for years, even up to now, we’ve heard Kristina mention her feelings.

Alexis is concerned about the impact Sonny has on their daughter-the fact that Kristina considered murder as a possible solution deeply disturbs Alexis, especially since she acted without any hesitation.

This situation may lead Alexis to realize that Kristina requires significant professional help, prompting her to take action for her daughter’s well-being.

Sonny’s Crisis And May Sweeps

As May sweeps begin on April 24th, things are about to escalate. Alexis’s best chance to prevent her daughter from going to prison might be to have her admitted to a psychiatric ward instead.

Additionally, the turmoil surrounding Kristina could be overwhelming for Sonny; learning of her violent behavior might lead to another heart episode, causing him to faint.

Sonny could end up being the first patient at the Monica Quartermaine Cardiac Care Center, with Kristina’s legal and mental health struggles potentially pushing him to his breaking point.
