General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will have to mourn the loss of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and try to put his broken life back together somehow. Dante wanted to marry Sam and have a forever future, but that won’t be possible now that she’s gone.

The fact that it was all so unexpected makes this even worse for Dante, who’s struggling to envision his next chapter without Sam. However, maybe there’s a way for GH writers to ease the blow of this Sam devastation.

Dante lost a fiancée, but could he gain another biological son?

There’s been social media speculation that Dante is Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazzi) bio dad, so that twist could come into play down the road.

Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) clearly knows more than she’s letting on when it comes to Gio’s family history.

Whenever Lois talks about the people believed to be Gio’s parents, it seems like she’s just spewing rehearsed lies.

The show’s offered up some hints that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) might be Gio’s biological mother.

It’s easy to imagine a rewrite where Brook Lynn hooked up with Dante and never told him that she was pregnant.

Lois might’ve helped Brook Lynn with an adoption that was kept anonymous as far as Brook Lynn knows.

Perhaps Grandma Lois arranged for Gio to be kept close and that’s why she’s felt so obligated to look after him since his adoptive parents passed away.

The day could be coming when Lois just can’t contain the secret any longer. That’s especially true now that Dante will be feeling so lost without Sam by his side.

At some point, Lois might see the potential for Dante and Gio to help each other if they form a father-son bond.

It could lead to Lois eventually offering up some jaw-dropping updates.

That said, Lois will have to think long and hard about what she ultimately divulges – especially since this could affect Brook Lynn and her marriage to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

Lois could also face plenty of backlash for keeping what she knew under wraps all these years. There’ll be a lot to consider before Lois can do something as drastic as blowing up all these lives.

Regardless, Dante could use some light at the end of this grief tunnel, so maybe a reunion with his long-lost son could give him some hope for the future again.
