General Hospital (GH) spoilers note it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Scotty Baldwin in the land of PC.
With that said, the character’s portrayer, Kin Shriner, is always active on social media, and he recently uploaded a video that talked about a botched surgery and how fellow GH alum, John Stamos, came to his rescue.
Shriner hopped on the social media platform X and talked about a foot surgery he had last summer that left him unable to move much.
According to Shriner, the surgeon ‘botched’ the foot surgery and he ‘basically couldn’t walk’ for six months. The good news was that his former GH co-star and friend, John Stamos (ex-Blackie Parris) swung in for the rescue and recommended a stellar podiatrist at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Stamos had once been a patient there, so Shriner made an appointment, and a doctor reperformed the procedure to far better success. In fact, Shriner reports that he’s back in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, rehabbing his foot daily, so he can get mobile again.
Scotty Baldwin’s Scooter Run
Shriner has had a history of foot issues over the years. Fans may recall that in 2019, Scotty Baldwin was getting around Port Charles in a knee scooter, due to the actor’s real-life foot condition, the surgery, and recovery.
With that said, it sounds like Kin is trying to place his foot issues behind him as he wrapped up his X video, saying, “I will be mobile soon. Very soon.”
Unfortunately, fans haven’t seen Scotty in the little town since August 2024. With Kelly Thiebaud returning in July and possibly reprising her role as Dr. Britt Westbourne, could there be a possibility for Scotty to return, if Britt’s mom, Dr. Liel Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), makes a comeback? Liesl and Scotty had quite the romance, so here’s hoping they both return!
