General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, July 25 tease reassurances, surprises, and hard questions.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gives reassurance, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) delivers a surprise, and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) asks hard questions.
Reassurances
Sonny drops in on Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and gives him reassurance in exchange for lying about what really happened to him when he was locked up.
He tells him he will not be touched as long as he stays out of his father’s business. Sonny knows that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is his rival and may as well be a rival mobster there in Port Charles, he’s already gone after Sonny’s piers.
Just because Sonny and Jenz are enemies, it doesn’t mean Sonny and Marco have to be. It looks like he’s made that pretty clear by sending the key and room number to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) to rescue him.
Peaceful Coexistence?
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will give an invitation and it looks like she discusses it with Jenz. He tells her it’s all about peaceful coexistence, so this may have something to do with Sonny and Jenz being invited to the same function.
Jenz may be explaining about his backing off trying to get Sonny’s piers, which were supposedly wanted for the Esplanade.
There hasn’t been any more talk about that, in spite of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) being preoccupied with his wedding anyway. Jenz had to pull back on funding to keep ensuring that peaceful coexistence.
Surprises
Meanwhile, at the Metro Court Pool, Molly is lying on a chaise in a swimsuit, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) looking and smiling.
Molly tells Cody she guesses she managed to surprise him, and the look on his face reveals it’s a pleasant surprise. But at least it is a pleasant surprise, and Ava Jerome (Maura West) is occupied elsewhere.
Cody’s been put in an awkward situation by Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and her plot for Cody to seduce Ava away from Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst)! To witness that definitely would not be a pleasant surprise for Molly!
She Was Afraid Of That-
Kristina is also at the pool, and mutters, “exactly what I was afraid of”. That’s probably referring to seeing Cody and Molly looking rather cozy together, which conflicts with her plot concerning Cody and Ava.
Kristina’s trying to separate Ric and Ava, among other reasons, because Ric is Molly’s father and she doesn’t want Ava hurting Molly.
But she also doesn’t want Molly finding out that she, Kristina, was the cause of the car wreck that hurt Ric and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst)!
Her sister cannot know Kristina put Ric’s life in danger in the process of hoping to end Ava’s by cutting the brake lines!
Happily Ever After?
In the meantime, Drew is at the church with his daughter Emily “Scout” Cain (Cosette Abinante) where they’re getting ready for the wedding.
Scout is the flower girl and so excited about her father getting married to Willow. Drew looks down at Scout, and tells her as she smiles, “We’re all going to live happily ever after”.
It would be best if it would happen that way, the girl has had so much loss in her life in the past few months.
But the wedding may or may not come to fruition after Willow got some inside information from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner)!
Hard Questions
Elsewhere in the church where Willow was getting dressed for the wedding, she confronts her mother Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) who may have told her what Curtis did anyway.
Willow’s upset as she demands of her mother, “Did you and Drew have an affair?” Their affair was more like enemies with benefits, since it was mostly hate sex and it was a few times in either of their offices.
Still, it did overlap Drew’s pursuit of Willow, never mind she was still married to his nephew Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) at the time. Will Nina admit it, or will she deny it, especially if Willow tells her Curtis told her about it?
