General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) has been having issues with his ex-wife, Sheree Gustin, ever since their separation in in 2023.

Things got more intense when Steve announced his engagement to his fiance’, Michelle Lundstrom, from the Netflix series BBQ Showdown.

Amid all of the drama, Michelle and Steve have decided to take the next step in their relationship.

Steve Burton Proposed Earlier This Year

The news came out that Steve and Michelle were dating in May 2024. In January 2025 it came out that Steve and Michelle had gotten engaged. The couple announced their engagement around January 4, 2025 in a joint Instagram post.

Several photos were posted including one of Burton on one knee proposing and one of the couple sharing a kiss while showing off the ring.

Lundstrom recently posted to fans a huge update. Lundstrom posted, “48 hours in [the OC]. I’m walking on sunshine no matter how many boxes are left to unpack. Thank you for all the well wishes on our move to California!” “My [Traeger Grills] are unloaded and ready to rock. NEW weeknight meal recipe coming real sooooon! Expect lots of #highproteinrecipes too! Sending so much love.”

Michelle Lundstrom Received Warm Welcomes

Chuck Matto, who also appeared on BBQ Showdown posted, “Congratulations and welcome to California.” Lundstrom herself replied, “@chucksflavortrain thanks so much Chuck!!” Included in their carousel post were several photos showing parts of Burton and Lundstrom’s life in California. Also included was a photo of then kissing in front of a gorgeous ocean view and a photo of a dragon in front of a pool.

Steve Burton Used To Live In Tennessee

When Steve left General Hospital in 2012 he and Sheree moved to Tennessee. Steve joined The Young and The Restless where he played Dylan McAvoy from 2013 to 2017.

Steve returned to General Hospital in 2017 until he lost his job because he refused to take a mandatory COVID vaccine required by Disney and ABC.

Burton returned to his roots in his first soap role as Harris Michaels on Days Of Our Lives and then came back to GH on March 4,2024. Of course this move to California makes it much easier to have a job in daytime.
