Trying to hang 10 recently left Linden Ashby looking like he’d just gone nine rounds in the boxing ring. The Young & Restless alum, who only recently stopped haunting Sharon as Cameron, revealed on Instagram that he was catching some waves when he was caught off guard.

Oh, Nose!

“I fought the board and the board won,” he cracked, referencing The Clash’s classic “I Fought the Law.” He had been “paddling in [a] two-foot shore break, tried to catch one on my belly and just got lit up!

“Face smashed into the deck of my board,” he continued. The blow was so severe that the actor “almost knocked unconscious, broke my nose.”

At least the accident didn’t knock out Ashby’s sense of humor. “Jeez… ” he concluded with a laugh. “I just wanted to catch a few waves this morning.”

In response, former castmate Christian Jules LeBlanc (Michael), who is blessedly never at a loss for words, exclaimed, “Good God! The humanity!”

A New Beginning?

Though Ashby was killed off Young & Restless in 2024, Cameron soon resurfaced as a figment of Sharon’s imagination after the diabolical duo of Ian and Crazy Aunt Jordan™ tampered with her bipolar medication. Ultimately, the heroine was able to banish him from her mind, but…

Yup, some of us still hold out hope that out of the woodwork with crawl a twin brother of Cameron’s. Maybe the good twin could come to Genoa City and stake a claim to the company that Sharon renamed Cassidy First and provide a little temptation to happily married Diane (played by Ashby’s real-life wife, Susan Walters).
