Fifteen years ago, sparks flew between Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson in Samoa. The two fell for each other on Season 23 of Survivor and continued their relationship off the show.

“He held my hand on night three of the game, and the rest is history,” Duncan previously told People.

Duncan and Tollefson went on to compete on The Amazing Race as a couple in 2014, but where do they stand more than a decade later? Scroll down for everything we know about their relationship today.

Do Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson have kids?

Yes, they have two children. Their son, Duncan, was born in October 2022, followed by their daughter, Vada, in October 2024.

Before welcoming their first child, Duncan opened up about the pair’s fertility struggles. The singer explained that she found out she had a low egg reserve via a hormone test. After seven years of using the “whatever happens” approach and not getting pregnant, Duncan learned that she had a fibroid, which was surgically removed. More bloodwork revealed that she had a “low ovarian reserve.”

By 2021, Duncan had undergone two rounds of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) to no avail, but in April 2022, the former reality stars confirmed they were expecting their first child.

“Praise Jesus…we are PREGNANT!” Duncan wrote on Instagram. “Our little miracle is due October 2022 🧡 I’ll share more of our long, hard journey at some point, but for now we are just so happy and excited!”

In their 2026 People interview, Duncan and Tollefson revealed that they still hadn’t told their kids about how they met. “They are so young we haven’t yet, but I’m excited to watch our season together in a few years,” Tollefson dished.

Who was Whitney Duncan’s first husband?

Duncan’s first husband was Donny Fallgatter. They secretly tied the knot in August 2010, and Duncan kept the relationship a secret during her time on Survivor. In fact, even their loved ones thought they were just “engaged” before Duncan left to film in May 2011.

According to Us Weekly, Duncan told Fallgatter about her island romance “the day she returned” from filming. They divorced that November while the show was airing.

Survivor viewers saw the emotional connection between Duncan and Tollefson on the show, and she confirmed to People that they shared their first kiss in Samoa. “I wished they would’ve gotten our first kiss on camera,” Duncan said. “Sunset in Samoa — it was magical.”

Fallgatter is a musician who now owns a custom furniture store in Nashville. He’s been married since 2017.
