Jordan’s clearing out her office when Curtis pops in. So she did resign. He asks what’s happening, and Jordan just says she and Laura have had disagreements and she felt she had no choice.
Great, Curtis notes. Now what’s the truth? She’s got self control, and the only other time he’s seen her out of character like this was when she was working undercover.
“I’m gonna stop you right there.” She promised herself not to lie to him again. It took work to get back to where they are, so please let it go and accept her genuine feelings. OK, he lost the right to have her explain everything when they got divorced, so he’ll drop it. But it comes with a price.
Rocco Doesn’t Want Sonny Around
Olivia compliments Sonny’s new digs, saying she would have had Dante’s party at the Quartermaines’, but didn’t want to put up with Tracy. Lulu pops in and Olivia happily greets her. Lois arrives with Kristina, Danny and Gio, who she introduces to Lulu, who thinks back to finding Martin’s notes on Dante and Brook Lynn’s kid.

Kristina is about to head out to get Dante, when Donna sidetracks her to show off her new desk. Sonny heads outside instead.
Out on the patio, Dante checks in on how Rocco’s doing, and his son eventually admits he’s upset about grandma and grandpa. He’s the link between them that everyone keeps talking about and complaining about and he thinks them both showing up at his debate will make things worse.
The only thing he can think to do is if grandpa doesn’t go to his debate — which Sonny overhears as he comes outside. “That isn’t what it sounded like,” Dante starts, but Sonny says it’s fine and asks Rocco what’s going on.
He’s worried about Sonny and Laura being seen together. Sonny agrees, and just asks that they record it. He’s proud Rocco’s looking out for his grandma. Alone, Sonny promises Dante it’s all good.

They all head in to sing happy birthday to Dante and cut into the cake that looks way too small for all of them. Lois marvels to Lulu about Sonny supporting Gio and her family through thick and thin.
Then it comes out that Sonny won’t be going to Rocco’s debate, claiming something came up, and Olivia yanks him outside to yell at him. Him being there isn’t an option. Dante comes out to defend Sonny and Olivia storms back in. He offers to tell Olivia, but Sonny would rather she be mad at him than Rocco.
Alexis Is Upset With Marco
At Alexis and Diane’s, Lucas warns Marco that Jason is not a guy you want to have a problem with. Alexis arrives and asks if Lucas is looking for her. No, he came to congratulate Marco on the job. “A little premature,” Alexis says. Diane told her about Marco and Sidwell, surprising Lucas.
Marco insists he didn’t lie, he didn’t conceal anything, and no one asked him about his parents. Did they ask any other candidate? Lucas rushes out to leave them, and Alexis tells Marco there are still lies of omission.
He admits he didn’t disclose his relationship on purpose, but he thought Alexis of all people would understand, distancing herself from the Cassadine name and forging her own path. He wants to do the same. That’s fine, but Sidwell’s also Marco’s client, and she can’t have clients who want to kill other clients. Marco just hopes she’ll judge him on his own merits and only his own.
Felicia Has a Favor to Ask Carly
Carly sits down at her kitchen table to tell Felicia how Michael’s doing — pretty well, the skin grafts are taking and he’s motivated to come home — but she hasn’t had the heart to tell him about Willow moving the kids in with Drew.
She apologizes for ranting, and Felicia says she came over for a reason. Mac thinks this referendum on the esplanade is making Laura look bad, instead of her standing up to Sonny herself. He wants Sonny to accept what the voters decide and not fight it.
Carly doubts that’ll happen, which is why Felicia says she needs to talk to Sonny and convince him to do this. Carly doesn’t want to butt back into Sonny’s business now that they’re in a good place. Felicia gets it, but if he does lose his piers, wouldn’t that make Port Charles safer for everyone… including her family?
Maybe, but Carly’s not even sure it’s possible. People usually don’t walk away from Sonny’s business.
Lucas Tells Carly About Marco
Lucas arrives, which Felicia takes as her cue to leave. As soon as she’s gone, Lucas asks if Jason is gunning for Marco.
Who’s Marco? “Miami Marco??” Yup. He got a job with Alexis and Diane and it turns out he’s Sidwell’s son. “OK, that’s why Jason has a problem!” She tells Lucas what Jenz did to her, and Lucas laments that someone should have told him that. Now he and Marco can’t happen.
Carly admits that Marco wanting to work for Diane and Alexis is “interesting” and Lucas acknowledges he can’t go for another man he can’t trust after Brad.
Brook Lynn and Chase Make a Decision
Brook Lynn comes to get Chase for Dante’s party, but he tells her he’s not in the right headspace. He and Lois were talking about Dante and his son with Brook Lynn and realized how badly he wants to be a dad. He feels like he failed Brook Lynn.

That’s crazy talk!. She doesn’t think she’ll ever deserve the man he is. Chase thanks her for making him feel better, then says he wants to raise a child with her, biological or not.
She wants that, too — but no IVF with a sperm donor. It worked out horribly for Molly and Kristina. Agreed, Chase says. Adoption seems like the best option and Brook Lynn wants to pay it forward after her child got a loving family. He brings up adopting an older child and Brook Lynn loves that idea. It worked for Emily with the Quartermaines.
Cody Rescues Molly
Molly’s put on hold while trying to get help changing a tire on the side of the road when Cody rides up on a horse. “Well, howdy, ma’am. Anything I can do for ya?” She’s been on hold for 45 minutes, only to be told someone will come in a few hours. Cody offers to change the tire for her.
She would be very grateful if he did. He gets to work, while leaving a nervous Molly to watch the horse. Unfortunately, her spare tire’s got a puncture. Time for Plan B: Ride back on the horse. Molly balks quite a bit, but Cody convinces her to go back with him. They set off after she grabs her briefcase.
In the Show’s Final Moments
Curtis tells Jordan to call him if she needs him and he will be there, no questions. She thanks him and he heads out. Lucas tells Carly he needs to think about it more. “That’s progress.” The old Lucas would have used this as an excuse to run away from Marco.
More: Look who is returning to Chicago Med!
Alexis acknowledges they have family backgrounds in common, so she has some advice. Walking the fine line with them is tougher than he thinks. And some day, he’ll have to choose between his life and his father. She’ll talk to Diane about keeping him on — with an extensive background check.
Chase and Brook Lynn agree they’re going ahead with adopting and kiss.
Danny, Gio and Rocco are all out on the patio talking about the news and rumors about Sonny. Gio heads in to get a soda and Danny tells Rocco that he dodged a bullet since his grandma didn’t show up. It’s best Sonny doesn’t come to the debate. Out front, Sonny tells Dante he’s ready to fight back if the referendum doesn’t go his way.
Inside, Donna hands Gio some cake and Lulu asks if he ever misses home. Sometimes, yeah, he saw how much work his mom put in. Lois jumps in trying to turn the topic, then Olivia jokes about how Gio’s mom worked literally up to the last second. Going into labor during a concert in Los Angeles.
Lulu just stares at Lois and smiles weakly.
