On today’s Days of Our Lives, Holly and Tate are making out on the bed when he stops them to make dinner — pausing to take off his shirt. He whips up some spaghetti, but Holly asks to skip dessert “and go straight to something else.” She drops her robe and that leads to more kissing, followed by Tate telling her how beautiful Holly is. They both check in that they’re ready and make love.

After, she calls it “everything I dreamed it would be. And more.” She’s just so glad her first time was with Tate, and he apologizes and says he wishes he would have waited. At least they have now. He then says something about how when he walked in on her and Doug, it seemed like the new guy was about to make a move.

Tate’s sure Doug has a thing for Holly. She thinks back to Doug’s confession, but shrugs it off, telling him Doug’s just a friend. They decide to skip dessert and go back to some lovin’.

Jada Says Goodbye to Gabi

Gabi gets home and pours some wine as Jada gets ready to head out with the last of her bags. She’s just about moved out. This is the last place she wants to be, which Gabi understands, but she was hoping Jada and Rafe could work things out. Jada just says every time she talks to him, it gets worse, and she tossed her engagement ring back. She tells a shocked Gabi about their last confrontation.

Gabi offers to do anything Jada needs and is just told that the former commissioner just needs to move on and get over it. So instead Gabi tells Jada that she deserves the best. Jada, in turn, asks how things are going with JJ. They haven’t been seeing each other much lately, and just as Jada says JJ should have done something for V-Day, flowers are delivered for Gabi from him. Gabi feels bad, but Jada insists she should be happy.

Doug Nearly Confesses to JJ

Doug III’s going through Doug’s song that he wrote for Julie when JJ shows up and asks to see it. He asks Doug how his first visit to the cabin went and is told it was fine — but he ran into Holly. He explains what happened and JJ senses Doug’s not too happy with Holly and Tate.

He’s not… and he kind of let his feelings slip to Holly. JJ tells him not to sweat it, he’s been there a few times. He suggests that talking about Doug’s feelings (with someone other than Holly) could help. Doug thanks him and says he was wrong about JJ, thinking he didn’t like him.

No, JJ says, he was right. He’s been keeping an eye on him — Jennifer thought he was the one who stole the necklace. But he doesn’t think that anymore. Doug looks upset, then starts to make a confession, but is cut off by Gabi calling JJ and inviting him over.

Back at the Hernandez house, Jada takes that as her cue to head out. Before she goes, Gabi lets her know she’s on Jada’s side, 100 percent. Left alone, Doug thinks back to his confession, fantasizing that Holly reciprocated his feelings and started kissing him.

EJ Pushes Abe and Paulina Too Far

As Abe and Paulina finish dinner, the mayor tells her husband how thrilled he is that Chanel’s moving back in with Johnny. She realizes Abe’s sad over losing Body and Soul and he tells her he’ll always be proud of the work they did. Just as they’re toasting to quality time together, EJ knocks on the door.

He wishes them a happy Valentine’s Day, presents a rose and says he needs to talk about Jada. He claims to just be a “concerned citizen” who wants to help clean up this mess as the DA to Rafe’s commissioner once again. “Ooh, you have got some nerve,” Paulina exclaims and tells him to buzz off.

EJ pushes, suggesting Belle won’t be able to prosecute Jada when the time comes. Paulina insists she’s fully confident in her DA and commissioner. As EJ keeps going, Abe asks to handle it. Paulina happily lets her husband throw EJ, reading him the riot act about how this is and will always be always about EJ. “This is my home, too, and I will take great pleasure in tossing you out of it!”

EJ smirks his way out, telling Paulina she knows he’s right.

‘Rafe’ Forces Himself On Belle

Belle’s drinking at Small Bar and leaving a message for Marlena telling her not to wait up when RoboRafe saunters in and over to “Little Miss Salem DA.” He invites himself to join her. He throws back a beer, needing a break from all the criminals at the job and takes the opportunity to blame being overwhelmed at the “train wreck” Jada left after stealing his job.

Belle tries sticking up for Jada and RoboRafe tells her she stole EJ’s job, then same as Jada did with his. Belle was just chosen to “cow down” to Jada. But Belle sees through the BS and demands to know what’s going on. He says he’s just following evidence like a good cop.

Belle says cops also follow their gut and he should know Jada better. Jada’s just a hard worker, not overly ambitious. RoboRafe pivots to give his condolences over ending things with Shawn. It’s got to be tough on a day like today, then offers a little “masculine comfort” and forces a kiss on her.

She shoves him away, yells that this will never, ever happen, in the office, out of the office, or anywhere. She storms off, wondering to herself what’s going on with Rafe.

Paulina Realizes EJ Is Up to Something

In the show’s final moments, JJ gets to Gabi’s, compliments her on her new Gabi Chic perfume and apologizes for being so busy. He’s feeling “very, very lucky” to be there with her on Valentine’s Day. So he kisses her.

Abe and Paulina both revel in EJ being gone… but then wonder if he had a point. No, Paulina insists after thinking about it, but him sniffing around like that makes her wonder why he’s so desperate and what he’s been up to. Abe says they’ll know soon enough and Paulina tells him EJ will never get his DA job back. Also, Abe throwing EJ out got her all hot and bothered, so they start kissing.

Back home, EJ calls Kristen to tell her they need to figure out what to do with their prisoners and hangs up just as Belle shows up to rage against Rafe assaulting her. “I’m going to kill him,” EJ snaps. He’s about to go do just that, but Belle insists she handled it — though she does think it’s sweet he wants to stand up for her. That distracts EJ enough to start kissing.

Jada heads over to the hotel to tell Rafe she’s out of his house and staying with Stephanie. RoboRafe responds by making a creepy offer to share his “big comfy bed” instead. “Are you serious right now??” He then calls her a “bitch,” she tells him off again and storms off saying she’s sorry she ever met him.
